Abstract:This paper studies blowup parabolic equations with non-homogeneous terms. It shows that if a solution (y.; y(0), g) (where y(0) and g denote the initial value and the non-homogeneous term respectively) exists over an interval [0, T], and if {y(0k)}(k=1)(infinity) and {g(k)}(k=1)(infinity) converge accordingly to y(0) and g in some suitable topologies, then there is a natural number K such that for each k >= K, the solution y(.; y(0k), g(k)) exists on the same interval [0, T]. It also presents a uniform estimate of blowup rates for solutions with respect to non-homogeneous terms in a bounded subset of a certain function space. As an application of the above-mentioned two results, it is shown that optimal controls exist for some optimal blowup time control problems. (C) 2013 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
