Abstract:Education is the practice of wisdom and morality.Traditional university class attaches importance to knowledge infusion while the initiative in knowledge gaining is underestimated,leading to the neglect and abandonment of essence of education.Hence,research-type is internationally accepted and widely encouraged.Research-type refers to taking the question as the carrier in the process of teaching,creating a kind of research situation and approaches similar to the scientific research,letting students feel and experience the process of knowledge creation through the collection,analysis and process of information,and learn to learn.The learning of research-type means not only the scientific conclusions but also the methods of scientific research,as well as to find answers independently in the face of the new field after leaving school so as to form appropriate study habits and positive characteristics of questioning,exploring and practicing.Therefore,to apply research-type teaching in university physics classes is helpful for students to achieve research-type learning.The origin,concept,principle and design of research-type teaching applied in university physics education were systematically introduced in this paper.In addition,three kinds of teaching modes,including experimental inquiry,tracing method and special theme research were discussed specifically,providing some new ideas for higher education reform.
