Abstract:•Describe an efficient hierarchical control framework for PEV charging coordination across multiple aggregators.•Present a charging load aggregation method considering real-world PEV charging and distribution transformer constraints.•Design a simple and clear compensation mechanism for aggregators who participate into the charging coordination cooperation.•Evaluate the proposed coordinated control scheme and two other benchmark strategies.•Demonstrate the effectivenesses and benefits of the proposed hierarchical coordination framework.
