Abstract:Theories of random sets and fuzzy random sets are useful concepts which are frequently applied in scientific areas including information science, probability and statistics. In this paper strong limit theorems are derived for random sets and fuzzy random sets with slowly varying weights in separable Banach spaces. Both independent and dependent cases are covered to provide a wide range of applications.

Abstract:A positive non-commutative (NC) measure is a positive linear functional on the free disk operator system which is generated by a $d$-tuple of non-commuting isometries. By introducing the hybrid forms, their Cauchy transforms, and techniques from NC reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces (RKHS), we construct a natural Lebesgue decomposition for any positive NC measure against any other such measure. Our work extends the Jury-Martin decomposition, which originally decomposes positive NC measures against the standard NC Lebesgue measure. In fact, we give a more generalized definition of absolute continuity and singularity, which reduces to their definition when the splitting measure is the standard NC Lebesgue measure. This generalized definition makes it possible to extend Jury-Martin theory for any splitting NC measure, and it recovers their decomposition when the splitting NC measure is the Lebesgue one. Our work implies a Lebesgue decomposition for representations of the Cuntz-Toeplitz C*-algebra. Furthermore, our RKHS method gives a new proof of the classical Lebesgue decomposition when applied to the classical one dimensional setting, i.e., $d=1$.

Abstract:In this paper, we show that weakly null-additive fuzzy measures on metric spaces possess regularity. Lusin's theorem, which is well-known in classical measure theory, is generalized to fuzzy measure space by using the regularity and weakly null-additivity. A version of Egoroff's theorem for the fuzzy measure defined on metric spaces is given. An application of Lusin's theorem to approximation in the mean of measurable function on fuzzy measure spaces is presented.

Abstract:In this paper, we first introduce $\mathbb{L}$-$\mu$-measurable functions and $\mathbb{L}$-Bochner integrable functions on a finite measure space $(S,\mathcal{F},\mu),$ and give an $\mathbb{L}$-valued analogue of the canonical $L^{p}(\Omega,\mathcal{F},\mu).$ Then we investigate the completeness of such an $\mathbb{L}$-valued analogue and propose the Radon-Nikod$\acute{y}$m property of $\mathbb{L}$-Banach spaces. Meanwhile, an example constructed in this paper shows that there do exist an $\mathbb{L}$-Banach space which fails to possess the Radon-Nikod$\acute{y}$m property. Finally, based on above work, we establish the dual representation theorem of $\mathbb{L}$-Bochner integrable function spaces, which extends and improves the corresponding classical result.

Abstract:In this paper, we give complete characterizations of those positive Borel measures such that the differentiation operator D-(n) f = f((n)) is bounded or compact from Fock spaces F-p(C) into a class weighted Lebesgue spaces on complex plane C. As an application, we characterize the boundedness and compactness of generalized weighted composition operators acting on Fock spaces. We also study the essential norm of these operators on Fock spaces.

Abstract:This paper describes Fatou's lemma for a sequence of measures converging weakly to a finite measure and for a sequence of functions whose negative parts are uniformly integrable with respect to these measures. The paper also provides new formulations of uniform Fatou's lemma, uniform Lebesgue's convergence theorem, the Dunford--Pettis theorem, and the fundamental theorem for Young measures based on the equivalence of uniform integrability and the apparently weaker property of asymptotic uniform integrability for sequences of functions and finite measures.

Abstract:We prove that for a given stationary fuzzy ultrametric space (in the sense of Kramosil & Michalek) it can induce a σ- ∨ -superdecomposable measure, by constructing a Hausdorff fuzzy pseudo-metric on its power set. We also prove that the restriction of the σ- ∨ -superdecomposable measure to the σ-algebra of all measurable sets is a σ- ∨ -decomposable measure. Finally we conclude this paper with two open problems.

Abstract:Further research on T-infinity-measures is made. As a consequence, the Hahn decomposition theorem and the Jordan decomposition theorem and the Lebesgue decomposition theorem for T-infinity-measures on T-infinity-tribes are obtained. The Hahn decomposition theorem and the Jordan decomposition theorem for T-infinity-measures are in fact the extension of those for classical measures, respectively. In addition, we also get some other conclusions which are very similar to those in classical measure theory.

Abstract:Fuzzy rough set is a generalization of crisp rough set, which deals with both fuzziness and vagueness in data. The measures of fuzzy rough sets aim to dig its numeral characters in order to analyze data effectively. In this paper we first develop a method to compute the cardinality of fuzzy set on a probabilistic space, and then propose a real number valued function for each approximation operator of the general fuzzy rough sets on a probabilistic space to measure its approximate accuracy. The functions of lower and upper approximation operators are natural generalizations of the belief function and plausibility function in Dempster–Shafer theory of evidence, respectively. By using these functions, accuracy measure, roughness degree, dependency function, entropy and conditional entropy of general fuzzy rough set are proposed, and the relative reduction of fuzzy decision system is also developed by using the dependency function and characterized by the conditional entropy. At last, these measure functions for approximation operators are characterized by axiomatic approaches.

Abstract:We show that properties of pairs of finite, positive and regular Borel measures on the complex unit circle such as domination, absolute continuity and singularity can be completely described in terms of containment and intersection of their reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces of `Cauchy transforms' in the complex unit disk. This leads to a new construction of the classical Lebesgue decomposition and proof of the Radon--Nikodym theorem using reproducing kernel theory and functional analysis.
