Abstract:Summing up the vertical roller mill grinding process in cement process industry,we analyze the technical characteristics of vertical roller mill process and put forward the design philosophy of vertical roller mill multi-loop control system.First,the control loop models are constructed making use of least square method.Then,based on the on-spot operating experience and abnormal working conditions,the multi-loop switch control formulas are extracted and integrated.Final,we adopt the predictive control theory to realize the optimum control of each loop of vertical roller mill on the basic of the built loop mathematical models.This optimum control system is put into trial operation for three months in a raw production line(5 000 t/d),the main production quotas are improved observably,such as production efficiency and qualification rate.

Abstract:DCS and VM concept, an environment of industrial control computer system including model-creating, control, optimization and simulation was set up. Lots of dynamic mathematic models, static mathematic models and control algorithms were put into the environment, and the simulation system for the pulp & paper mill can thus be established. The results obtained both from system simulation and commercial controller systems proved themselves to be effective for practical purposes.

Abstract:For the application of real-time database in a petrochemical plant,the article put forwards to a new concept to resolve the communication among real-time database and DCS,control software,and Web-based user interface.The scheme is developed based on Windows 2000 Server using the technique of multe-threading,anolymous pipe and WinSock,etc.The results of long industrial running of this scheme show that it is more effective and feasible for industrial process.

Abstract:A smallscale distributed control system (DCS) based on programmable logic controller (PLC) has been presented, a selfoptimizing and fuzzyPI algorithm being applied in the said system, realizing automatic control and operational monitor for ball mills, enhancing automation level of the coal pulverizing system. Through putting into operation in “A” side coal pulverizing system of unit no.5 at Qinling Power Plant, a good control effectiveness has been obtained.

Abstract:The general introduction of existing DC driving system of C table roller in hot rolling mill is given and the problems in such system are analyzed.The features of table roller driving system and the requirements for speed adjustment control system are discussed.The U/f AC variable frequency driving system and PLC control system are designed in accordance with the demands of retrofit project,and the PLC program flowchart is also given.Comparing with the past DC drive system,the new design improves the operational performance greatly.The requirement of enhancing overall technical level of hot rolling plant can be satisfied.

Abstract:Aiming at the key technical problems of cement mill w hich are cement ingredients and cement load control ,the ball mill is designed as the design object ,in which ,S7-200 PLC is used as the main control ,Siemens MM420 converter is used as a speed control device ,and Siemens WinCC V7 is used as a development tool .A PLC-based cement mill pul-verizer control system is designed to achieve the monitor of the cement mill parameter acquisition ,such as temperature , pressure and speed ,process control and quality control in the production process .T he results of the practice show that the PLC-based cement mill control system not only can intuitively and clearly show ,control and monitor all aspects of the production process of the pulverizer and control or monitor ,but also can check the fault to alarm .It is of great practical significance for improving the working environment of workers ,and improving the level of cement batching and the long-term safe operation of cement grinding machine .

Abstract:Blisks are the most important and critical components in the gas turbine engines, which could reduce the weight obviously and improve the efficiency significantly. To achieve high efficient machining of the titanium-based blisk, a powerful and composite processing method is proposed and structure of disc milling head with high stiffness and high precision is designed, including mechanical transmission, electrical system, rotating control, locking device, and tool changer. Then, static and dynamic analyses are carried out for the disc milling head, and calculation results show that the static and dynamic performances are perfect, which satisfy the processing requirements. Considering friction and backlash in the worm gear transmission, parameters perturbation in the electrical control system, and process noise and measurement noise in the system have serious impact on the positioning precision of disc milling rotation system, a robust sliding mode control (SMC) algorithm based on linear quadratic optimal control (LQC) is proposed. Based on the traditional LQC, introduce the state estimation based on Kalman filter and control input, improve the system state space model, and define a new sliding surface equation, then, a robust SMC based on LQC is finished. Simulation and experiment results show that the designed controller is robust to the nonlinearities and uncertainties in the rotation control system of disc milling head and can achieve high positioning precision.

Abstract:A real-time control system for rolling mill control such as the Hille 100 experimental rolling mill was developed based on Matlab Simulink, Real-Time Workshop and xPC Target. The Host-Target PCs architecture for the control system was introduced, then the approach for the implementation of data acquisition, real-time control and the associated graphic user interface (GUI), were discussed in detail. Some limitations of the commercial software were also presented. The developed control system has been verified with Hille 100 rolling mill in laboratory, indicating the effective application in rolling mill control.

Abstract:For large inertia,lag and nonlinear characteristics in process of mill running,an expert system based on fuzzy self-optimizing control was put forward.Fuzzy control,self-optimizing control and traditional PID control are organically combined together,and used in control design of grinding classification system of a concentrator in Chengde.By combination of PLC and industrial control computer form a DCS system.Practice shows that the expert system for the safe and stable operation,energy saving effect is obvious.It can greatly reduce the labor intensity of on-site operation,and also improve their working conditions.

Abstract:Directing at the complex structure, cockamamie production technology and great operation difficulty of vertical roller mill, this paper constructs the fault expert system to guide and optimize the grinding process. First, the expert database is established with fuzzy cluster analysis, principal component analysis (PCA) and tendency analysis. With support vector machine (SVM) regression, the multiple regression equations of main operation loops are fitted. In online, by looking up expert database and corresponding equations, the system gives out adjustment suggestions according to the variation tendency. Making use of OPC and VC++ techniques, this system has been applied in the practical field. The practical running conditions indicate that this system is effective and credible.

Abstract:The on-line supervision and control for cement production from vertical shaft kiln (VSK) is presented in this paper. The system consisted of PC-bus based industrial computer is the low cost distributed control system, central computer -communication unit-local computer. The local computer control and monitor the various sections, as (1) control of raw material blending, (2) control of pre-watering granulating, (3) fuzzy control of vertical shaft kiln, (4) control of clinker material blending, etc. Communication unit completed communication of central computer and various local computers. The central computer can make control decision to local computers, record data for trending, time stanlp data, generate reports, store and retrieve recipes, and display process information and alarm status to the operators. This system has worked in the plant for 2 years. Quality assurance and cost-effectiveness is achieved through powerful automation systems.

Abstract:The research and development of the coal-conveying routine control system in large thermal power plants is introduced. A DCS (distributed control system) is designed, which consists of two industrial-class 80486 machines as the host computers, two sets of OMRON C2000H PLC (programmable logical controller) as the central control station, and some C200H, C20HS, MCS-8051, MCS-8098 as the substations. Several control manner including one-to-one control, central control and coal-conveying route control of all of 45 main devices are provided by the system. The wireless remote control based on coal-feeding control and the coal auto-allotted control are also implemented in the system.

Abstract:In order to improve the operational efficiency and energy saving in cement plants. Detailed analysis on the pre-grinding system according its features was given. An intelligent modeling and compoud control system was built to stablize and optimize the pre-grinding system in this paper. The whole system was devided into two sub-systems, one is controlled by fuzzy logic control (FLC), and the other was handled by linear matrix inequality based model predictive control (LMI-based MPC), and the model was acquired by using least square support vector machine (LS-SVM) regression. The control system was implanted with the support of OPC, DCS and C++ techniques. The control system has been deployed in the field to control the pre-grinding system. The result shows that the pre-grinding system gets a good control from the control system, and pre-grinding system is more stable than what it was before.
