Abstract:The mechanism that magnetic influences the Fiber-optic gyro is analyzed.Based on monochromatic light,the specific formula is deducted with Jones Matrix.The formula expresses that the perfect Lyot depolarizers in Fiber-optic depolarized gyro(Dep-I-FOG) can still be affected by the axial magnetic field,and this may result in Faraday nonreciprocal phase error to gyro.This axial magnetic field is parallel to the winding direction of the depolarizers.The emulation result that the phase error varies with the twist rate of the polarization maintaining fiber(PMF) is given,and the test result in the axial magnetic field is written out,too.The emulation shows that the depolarizer with twist can generate Faraday nonreciprocal phase error.And the test result indicates that the axial magnetic field acted on the depolarizers decreases the bias precision of Dep-I-FOG.The main method to reduce the Faraday nonreciprocal phase error resulted from the axial magnetic field acted on the depolarizers is put forward.The method is that each section PMF's twist rate of the two depolarizers φ should tend to 0.
