Abstract:•New vibrational resonance phenomena named vibrational subharmonic resonance and vibrational superharmonic resonance are reported.•The vibrational resonance occurs at the subharmonic or superharmonic frequency is different from the traditional vibrational resonance.•The occurrence of the vibrational subharmonic resonance and vibrational superharmonic resonance depends on the system parameter and the high-frequency perturbation.
