Abstract:Objective: To find an effective way for quantitative evaluation on wall thickness variation of human bladder with/without bladder tumor, a novel pipeline of thickness measurement and analysis for magnetic resonance (MR) cystography is proposed. Methods: After the acquisition of volumetric bladder images with a high-resolution T2-weighted 3-D sequence, the inner and outer borders of the bladder wall were segmented simultaneously by a coupled directional level-set method. Then, the bladder wall thickness (BWT) was estimated using the Laplacian method. To reducing the influence of individual variation and urine filling on wall thickness, a thickness normalization using Z-score is performed. Finally, a parametric surface mapping strategy was applied to map thickness distribution onto a unified sphere surface, for quantitative intra- and intersubject comparison between bladders of different shapes. Results: The proposed pipeline was tested with a database composed of MR bladder images acquired from 20 volunteers and 20 patients with bladder cancer. The results indicate that the thickness normalization step using Z-score makes the quantitative comparison of wall thickness quite possible and there is a significant difference on BWT between patients and volunteers. Using the proposed pipeline, we established a thickness template for a normal bladder wall based on dataset of all volunteers. Conclusion: As a first attempt to establish a general pipeline for bladder wall analysis, the presented work provides an effective way to achieve the goal of evaluating the entire bladder wall for detection and diagnosis of abnormality. In addition, it can be easily extended to quantitative analyses of other bladder features, such as, intensity-based or texture features.
Quantitative Measures of Modic Changes in Lumbar Spine Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Abstract:Study Design. A measurement reliability study.Objective. To develop quantitative measures for Modic changes (MCs) on magnetic resonance (MR) images and evaluate measurement reliability.Summary of Background Data. MCs have been studied for more than 20 years but the clinical significance remains controversial. Little effort has been made to improve the measurement of MCs.Methods. The study was approved by the responsible institutional review board. On the basis of Modic classification, a series of quantitative dimension and signal intensity measures were developed for assessing MCs. Midsagittal T1- and T2-weighted MR images from 83 lumbar spines were then qualitatively and quantitatively assessed by two observers independently. Kappa and intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) were used to examine intra-and inter-rater reliability. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to assess the relationships between the quantitative measurements of MCs. Mean absolute deviation (MAD) and Bland-Altman plots also were used to evaluate measurement errors and limits of agreement for selected measures.Results. For Modic classification, intrarater agreement was excellent (kappa = 0.88) and inter-rater agreement was substantial (kappa = 0.79). Intrarater agreement also was excellent when obtaining dimension measurements (ICC = 0.82-0.96) from T1- or T2-weighted images and inter-rater agreement was slightly greater using T1-weighted images (ICC = 0.73-0.88) than T2-weighted images (ICC = 0.66-0.82). Signal intensity measurements on T2-weighted images were found to have almost perfect intra-and inter-rater reliability (ICC = 0.92-0.99). The correlation analysis demonstrated that the quantitative measures represent different constructs. The MAD and Bland-Altman Plots further confirmed the high reliability of the area ratio, MCs mean signal intensity and MCs total signal intensity measurements.Conclusion. Three quantitative measures are suggested to assess the severity of MCs, which provide reliable, precise measurements for research on the etiology, pathogenesis, and clinical relevance of MCs.
Quantitative 3D Analysis of Levator Ani Muscle Subdivisions in Nulliparous Women: MRI Feasibility Study

Abstract:Background: The levator ani muscle (LAM) is crucial for pelvic floor stability, yet its quantitative MRI assessment is only a recent focus. Our study aims to standardize the quantitative analysis of the LAM morphology within the 3D Pelvic Inclination Correction System (3D-PICS). Methods: We analyzed 35 static MR datasets from nulliparous women examining the pubovisceral (PVM), iliococcygeal (ICM), coccygeal (COC), and puborectal muscle (PRM). The PVM consists of three origin-insertion pairs, namely the puboanal (PAM), puboperineal (PPM) and pubovaginal muscle (PVaM). The analysis included a quantitative examination of the morphology of LAM, focusing on the median location (x/y/z) (x: anterior–posterior, y: superior–inferior, z: left–right) of the origin and insertion points (a), angles (b) and lengths (c) of LAM. Inter-rater reliability was calculated. Results: Interindividual variations in 3D coordinates among muscle subdivisions were shown. In all, 93% of all origin and insertion points were found within an SD of <8 mm. Angles to the xz-plane range between −15.4° (right PRM) and 40.7° (left PAM). The PRM is the largest pelvic muscle in static MRI. The ICC indicated moderate-to-good agreement between raters. Conclusions: The accurate morphometry of the LAM and its subdivisions, along with reliable inter-rater agreement, was demonstrated, enhancing the understanding of normal pelvic anatomy in young nulliparous women.

Comparison of the Vaginal and Labial Dimensions of Ethnic Chinese and Western Nullipara

Abstract:Introduction and hypothesis: Vaginal dimensions have clinical and surgical implications. We sought to quantify the differences between vaginal and labial dimensions in healthy ethnic Chinese and Western women with normal pelvic organ support. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study of a convenience sample of ethnic Chinese nulliparas (n = 33) and Western nulliparas (n = 33) recruited for research purposes. For each subject, magnetic resonance imaging was used to quantify the vaginal and labial dimensions. Specifically, we identified the anterior and posterior vaginal wall, the outline of the cervix in the mid-sagittal and coronal planes, and the distance from the labia majora to the hymenal ring at the urethral meatus. Results: There were significant differences in age and weight between groups. Substantial variation in vaginal and labial dimensions was found within each group. The vaginal and labial dimensions of ethnic Chinese women ranged from 9-21% smaller than those of Western women; In the ethnic Chinese group, increasing weight and BMI correlated with greater labial distance (r = 0.66 and r = 0.63 respectively); as did height and the distance from the vaginal opening to the cervical os (r = 0.5). In the Western group, only weight correlated with the labial distance (r = 0.51). Conclusions: Significant group differences in vaginal and labial dimensions were found, with the dimensions of Chinese nulliparas being up to 21% smaller than those of Western nulliparas.
Posterior Vaginal Prolapse Shape and Position Changes at Maximal Valsalva Seen in 3-D MRI-based Models

Abstract:INTRODUCTION AND HYPOTHESIS:Two-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of posterior vaginal prolapse has been studied. However, the three-dimensional (3-D) mechanisms causing such prolapse remain poorly understood. This discovery project was undertaken to identify the different 3-D characteristics of models of rectocele-type posterior vaginal prolapse (PVP(R)) in women.METHODS:Ten women with (cases) and ten without (controls) PVP(R) were selected from an ongoing case-control study. Supine, multiplanar MR imaging was performed at rest and maximal Valsalva. Three-dimensional reconstructions of the posterior vaginal wall and pelvic bones were created using 3D Slicer v. 3.4.1. In each slice the posterior vaginal wall and perineal skin were outlined to the anterior margin of the external anal sphincter to include the area of the perineal body. Women with predominant enteroceles or anterior vaginal prolapse were excluded.RESULTS:The case and control groups had similar demographics. In women with PVP(R) two characteristics were consistently visible (10/10): (1) the posterior vaginal wall displayed a folding phenomenon similar to a person beginning to kneel ("kneeling" shape) and (2) a downward displacement in the upper two thirds of the vagina. Also seen in some, but not all of the scans were: (3) forward protrusion of the distal vagina (6/10), (4) perineal descent (5/10), and (5) distal widening in the lower third of the vagina (3/10).CONCLUSIONS:Increased folding (kneeling) of the vagina and an overall downward displacement are consistently present in rectocele. Forward protrusion, perineal descent, and distal widening are sometimes seen as well.
Assessment of Shape Variation of the Levator Ani with Optimal Scan Planning and Statistical Shape Modeling

Abstract:Objective: To capture 3D shape variation of the levator ani during straining with open access MR imaging. Methods: Optimal scan-planning based on statistical shape modeling is developed for recovering the entire 3D structure of the levator ani from a limited number of 2D imaging planes. Statistical shape modeling ensures optimum material correspondence, and Subspace Reprojection is used to identify the optimum orientation of the imaging plans. The accuracy of the method in using limited 2D imaging planes to instantiate the dynamic structure of the levator ani is assessed with data acquired from 10 asymptomatic subjects. Results: Leave-one-out analysis was performed whereby a model based on a training set consisting of all but one surface was used to instantiate the dynamic surface structure from the corresponding optimal planes. The mean surface distance error for the proposed Subspace Reprojection method is 3.989 ± 0.790 mm, which is significantly smaller than other approaches. Conclusions: Surfaces of the levator ani may be instantiated using a limited number of imaging planes as well as a statistical shape model based on a training set of subjects. The proposed technique offers a new way forward for studying dynamic shape changes of 3D structures where complete volumetric imaging is prohibited by the inherent temporal resolution of the scanning technique.

Abstract:Introduction and hypothesisAn objective diagnostic method to understand vaginal laxity (VL) is still missing. The aim of our study is to determine whether vaginal wall thickness (VWT) measured by ultrasound may differ according to the abdominal or vaginal techniques and to assess whether clinical variables are associated with vaginal measurements of women with VL.MethodsA cross-sectional study conducted at a tertiary hospital included 82 women aged ≥ 18 years with VL complaints assessed by the Vaginal Laxity Questionnaire. Women who reported severe comorbidities or vulvovaginal disorders, previous treatment for VL, and use of vaginal estrogen in the last 6 months were excluded. Participants reporting VL underwent transabdominal (TAUS) and transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS) and physical examination and answered validated questionnaires. Descriptive data were given as mean and standard deviation, median (range), and absolute and relative frequency. The significance level adopted for this study was 5%. Sample size calculation was not performed for the present study.ResultsMean age was 41.20 ± 8.64 years, and most participants were multiparous, with previous vaginal delivery and having vaginal intercourse. A statistically significant difference (up to 3 mm) between TAUS and TVUS measurements of the VWT was found in the proximal, middle-third, and distal compartments. A significant correlation was found between VWT and TAUS or TVUS in the mid-third and distal compartments.ConclusionA significant correlation was found between the VWT measurements in TVUS and TAUS. Our findings might give the health professional more possibilities for investigating VWT according to patient characteristics.

3D Analysis of Cystoceles Using Magnetic Resonance Imaging Assessing Midline, Paravaginal, and Apical Defects

Abstract:This study assesses relative contributions of "midline defects" (widening of the vagina) and "paravaginal defects" (separation of the lateral vagina from the pelvic sidewall).Ten women with anterior predominant prolapse and ten with normal support underwent pelvic MR imaging. 3-D models of the anterior vaginal wall (AVW) were generated to determine locations of the lateral AVW margin, vaginal width, and apical position.The lateral AVW margin was farther from its normal position in cases than controls throughout most of the vaginal length, most pronounced midvagina (effect sizes, 2.2-2.8). Vaginal widths differed in the midvagina with an effect size of 1.0. Strong correlations between apical and paravaginal support were evident in mid- and upper vagina (r = 0.77-0.93).Changes in lateral AVW location were considerably greater than changes in vaginal width in cases vs controls, both in number of sites affected and effect sizes. These "paravaginal defects" are highly correlated with apical descent.
Assessment of Levator Hiatus by 3D Ultrasound Volume Contrast Imaging in Normal Nulliparas

Abstract:The ability of 3D ultrasound volume contrast imaging in C-plane (VCI-C) in the assessment of female levator hiatus was analyzed in eighty normal nulliparas. Interoperator variability in levator hiatus measurements was analyzed. The comparison of the axial image of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and C-plane image of volume contrast imaging (VCI) in thirty normal nulliparas was also done. It shows that VCI-C can clearly demonstrate the structure and accurately quantitates the size of the levator hiatus. It is reliable, convenient and without contraindication in assessment of female levator hiatus. The technology opens up entirely new modality for assessing female pelvic floor.

Abstract:Purpose To investigate the shape of labia minora in Chinese adult women. Methods Women who visited the Genital Plastic Surgery Center from January 2021 to February 2022 were included and the vulvar regions were photographed. The shape of the labia minora was converted into quantifiable values [left side line segment 1–9 ( L1–L9 values) and right side line segment 1–9 ( R1–R9 values)]. The 400 enrolled patients were grouped by age, parity, and the types of vulvar surgeries they planned to undergo. Results After a graphic-to-digital and digital-to-graphic conversion, the simulated average image of the labia minora in Chinese adult women was constructed based on the mean values of L1–L9 and R1–R9 . Comparing the values of Ln and Rn in the four age groups revealed that the mean values of Ln and Rn gradually decreased with age, but only two subgroups showed statistically significant differences ( P -value <0.05). When the patients were stratified according to the number of births and whether labiaplasty was planned to perform, there were no significant differences among all groups ( P -value >0.05). Conclusion To measure and evaluate the labia minora, a new assessing method was used. It is an innovative attempt to transform the simple rough description of the shape of the labia minora into more precise data reflecting the shape features. It allows the comparison of labia minora shape between individuals by comparing quantifiable values. Besides, the average shape of labia minora in Chinese adult women was provided visually. Factors including age, parity, and whether the patient planned to undergo labiaplasty were not significantly associated with the shape of the labia minora.

Establishing Reference Values for Vaginal Vestibule Elastography in Healthy Postmenopausal Women

Abstract:Objective This study aims to establish normative elastography values for the vaginal vestibule in healthy postmenopausal women and assess the variability of these values with age and measurement time during the day. Methods The study included 111 women aged 40-90, excluding those with medical histories or treatments affecting vaginal health. Elastography measurements were taken twice daily, between 9-10 AM and 3-4 PM, using real-time tissue elastography technology. Statistical analysis evaluated the effects of age, body mass index (BMI), and diurnal variation on vaginal vestibule elasticity. Results A significant positive correlation between age and elastography values was found (p=8.36×10⁻⁷), with elastography values increasing by approximately 0.0040 units per year. The mean elastography value was 28.32% (SD=5.87%) in the morning and 28.10% (SD=5.90%) in the afternoon, with a statistically significant difference (p=0.016). BMI showed a weak negative correlation with elastography values (r=-0.2021, p=0.0334). Conclusion Establishing reference values for vaginal vestibule elastography provides a foundation for improved diagnostic accuracy and early detection of gynecological conditions. The findings support the use of elastography as a non-invasive, reliable diagnostic tool in clinical practice. Future research should validate these results across different age groups and in women with specific gynecological conditions to further solidify the clinical applicability of vaginal vestibule elastography.
Structural failure sites in posterior vaginal wall prolapse: stress 3D MRI-based analysis

Abstract:Introduction and hypothesis: The objective was to identify structural failure sites in rectocele by comparing women with and those without posterior vaginal wall prolapse and accessing their relative contribution to rectocele size based on stress MRI-based measurements. Methods: We studied three-dimensional stress MRI at maximal Valsalva of 25 women with (cases) and 25 without (controls) posterior vaginal prolapse of similar age and parity. Vaginal wall factors (posterior wall length and width); attachment factors (paravaginal posterior wall location, posterior fornix height, and perineal height); and hiatal factors (hiatal size and levator ani defects) were measured using Slicer 4.3.0® and a custom Python program. Stepwise linear regression was used to assess the relative contribution of all factors to the posterior prolapse size. Results: We identified three primary factors with large effect sizes of 2 or greater: two attachment factors-posterior paravaginal descent and perineal height; and one hiatal factor-genital hiatus size. These were the strongest predictors of the presence and size of rectocele, the most common failure sites, found in 60-76% of cases; and highly correlated with one another (r = 0.72-0.84, p < .001). Longer vaginal length, wider distal vagina, lower posterior fornix, and larger levator ani hiatus had smaller effect sizes and were less likely to fall outside the norm (20-24%) than the three primary factors. When considering all the supporting factors, the combination of perineal height, posterior fornix height, and vaginal length explained 73% of the variation in rectocele size. Conclusions: Lower perineal and lateral posterior vaginal location and enlarged genital hiatus size were strong predictors of rectocele occurrence and size and correlated highly.

Abstract:Objective To search for an effective imaging method for the morphological observation of female pelvic support by studying 3D ultrasound image features of nulliparous vagina and perivaginal structures at different level.Methods Fifty nulliparas were examined by 3D pelvic floor ultrasonography.The appearance of vagina and perivaginal structures was observed from vaginal vault to orifice in transversal 3D reconstruction image of pelvic floor.Results Three-dimensional pelvic floor ultrasound showed cross-sectional imaging of the whole vagina clearly.The vaginal transversal morphologies were different at different level.It was lip-like in proximal vagina,butterfly-like in middle vagina and crescent-like in distal vagina.The perivaginal structures at different level were different.Perineal body was at distal vagina level,urethrovaginal septum,rectovaginal septum and paravaginal support at middle vagina level,perivaginal connective tissue at proximal vagina level.All were uniform,dense and complete.Conclusions The 3D pelvic floor ultrasound images of vagina and perivaginal structures at different level are distinct,which is valuable for the study of 3D ultrasound in female pelvic support and pelvic floor dysfunction.
Impact of different scanners and acquisition parameters on robustness of MR radiomics features based on women’s cervix

Abstract:MR Radiomics based on cervical lesions from one single scanner has achieved promising results. However, it is a challenge to achieve clinical translation. Considering multi-scanners and non-uniform scanning parameters from different centers in a real-world medical scenario, we should first identify the influence of such conditions on the robustness of MR radiomics features (RFs) based on the female cervix. In this study, 9 healthy female volunteers were enrolled and 3 kiwis were selected as references. Each of them underwent T2 weighted imaging in three different 3.0-T MR scanners with uniform acquisition parameters, and in one MR scanner with various scanning parameters. A total of 396 RFs were extracted from their images with and without decile intensity normalization. The RFs’ reproducibility was evaluated by coefficient of variation (CV) and quartile coefficient of dispersion (QCD). Representative features were selected using the hierarchical cluster analysis and their discrimination abilities were estimated by ROC analysis through retrospective comparison with the junctional zone and the outer muscular layer of healthy cervix in patients (n = 58) with leiomyoma. This study showed that only a few RFs were robust across different MR scanners and acquisition parameters based on females’ cervix, which might be improved by decile intensity normalization method.

Abstract:Objective To assess the reproducibility of standardized 3‐dimensional (3D) ultrasound volume analysis of the dimensions and the position of cesarean birth (CB) scar niche relative to the cervix in pregnant women. Methods This prospective single‐center study in women with 1 previous CB ≥8 cm cervical dilatation acquired ultrasound volumes between 11 and 24 weeks' gestation in a mid‐sagittal plane. Two experienced operators processed the volumes using virtual organ computer‐aided analysis. A CB scar niche was defined as an indentation at the scar site of ≥2 mm in depth. Niche and cervix volumes were calculated using manual contouring. Agreement for categorical variables was expressed using intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). The Bland–Altman method was used to assess numerical variable reproducibility. Results To achieve the desired statistical power, 52 participants were included. Clinical value of dynamic MRI of vaginal and rectal with coupling agent in the diagnosis of prolapse ;and rectocele

Abstract:Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of dynamic MRI with coupling agent filled vaginal and rectumin the display of vaginal vault prolapse and rectocele. Methods Thirty three female patients, who were diagnosed with pelvic organ prolapse with Ⅲ degrees and above by gynecologic outpatient clinic and prepared to be treated with surgery were prospectively collected. All of them underwent two types of dynamic MRI, one was routine dynamic MRI (Group A) and the other was dynamic MRI with vaginal and rectum filled with coupling agent (Group B). Two radiologists evaluated and scored the display of vaginal vault and rectocele on these two groups of dynamic MRI images. According to the joint result of two radiologists, two gynecologists made surgical planning. Kappa test was used to compare the consistency of scores performedby two radiologists, and Fisher exact test was used to compare the differentiation fromboth groups, as well as the differentiation of probability of high uterosacral ligament suspension.Results The Kappa value of both groups was 0.65 and 1.00 respectively, where the consistency of Group B was superior than Group A. There were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.01), where Group B was better than Group A. Based on the imaging results of Group A, 7 patients (21.2%, 7/33) were decided to make high uterosacral ligament suspension. Based on the imaging results of Group B, 20 patients (60.6%, 20/33) were decided to make high uterosacral ligament suspension, and differences were statistical significance between the two groups(P<0.05). Conclusions Fo purpose of the displaying vaginal vault and rectocele, the dynamic MR imaging with vaginal and rectum filled with coupling agent was better than routine method. The proposed method can provide important information and reference for the establishment of surgical planning.
Three-dimensional Measurement and Analysis of Morphological Parameters of the Uterus in Infertile Women.

Abstract:Background: To determine differences in endometrial cavity anteroposterior diameter, thickness, volume, and diameter lines of uterine body and thickness, and volume of upper, middle, and lower regions of the endometrium in infertile women using a new method for three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction based on two-dimensional (2D) ultrasound images. Methods: This retrospective cross-sectional study included a total of 81 infertile women, who underwent 2D ultrasound standard examination. We created 3D models of the uterine body, endometrial cavity, and endometrium based on 2D ultrasound images. The parameters that were measured and analyzed in a 3D plane included volume and diameter lines of endometrial cavity, surface area, thickness, volume, and diameter lines of uterine body, and surface area, thickness, and volume of upper, middle, and lower region of the endometrium. These parameters were used for comparisons between normal and arcuate uterus, between non-pregnant and pregnant infertile women, and between nulliparous and multiparous infertile women. The differences between the different regions of the endometrium and the correlations between age and the parameters were also determined in this study. Results: Endometrial cavity length, and middle and lower regions of the endometrial volume in the normal uterus were 39.63 +/- 7.61 mm, 1,307.92 +/- 1,034.40 mm(3), and 653.98 +/- 460.41 mm(3), respectively. For arcuate uterus, these parameters were 32.96 +/- 4.69 mm, 539.89 +/- 298.94 mm(3), and 347.90 +/- 129.61 mm(3), respectively. The parameters were significantly higher in normal uterus compared with arcuate uterus (P=0.000, 0.001, and 0.006, respectively). Upper, middle, and lower regions of endometrial thickness in normal uterus were 7.79 +/- 3.26, 8.18 +/- 3.33, and 6.41 +/- 2.60 mm, respectively. Both upper and middle regions of endometrial thickness were significantly greater than the lower regions of endometrial thickness with P=0.009 and P=0.001, respectively. Correlation analysis revealed that age positively correlated with volume of upper endometrial regions (r=0.274, P=0.028). Conclusions: This study provides references for the volume and thickness of the endometrium in the different anatomical regions of normal and arcuate uterus. Age mainly affects the upper region of the endometrium. The 3D measurement provides a precise way to quantify the morphological parameters of gynecological diseases.
Measurement of the 3D Geometry of the Fascial Arches in Women with a Unilateral Levator Defect and “architectural Distortion”

Abstract:Introduction and hypothesis The arcus tendineus fascia pelvis (ATFP) and arcus tendineus levator ani (ATLA) are elements of anterior vaginal support. This study describes their geometry in women with unilateral levator ani muscle defects and associated “architectural distortion.” Methods Fourteen subjects with unilateral defects underwent MRI. 3D models of the arcus were generated. The locations of these relative to an ilial reference line were compared between the unaffected and affected sides. Results Pronounced changes occurred on the defect sides’ ventral region. The furthest point of the ATLA lays up to a mean of 10 mm ( p = 0.01) more inferior and 6.5 mm ( p = 0.02) more medial than that on the intact side. Similarly, the ATFP lays 6 mm ( p = 0.01) more inferior than on the unaffected side. Conclusions The ventral arcus anatomy is significantly altered in the presence of levator defects and architectural distortion. Alterations of these key fixation points will change the supportive force direction along the lateral anterior vaginal wall, increasing the risk for anterior vaginal wall prolapse.

Abstract:Objectives This study aimed to determine the normal vasculature indices of the endometrium and to correlate them with those in various physiological states. Methods Women undergoing ultrasound at the Feto‐Maternal Center, Qatar in 2020–2021 as part of their gynecologic evaluation were enrolled into the study. They were divided into those with normal menses and no additional pathology, those following spontaneous miscarriage, postpartum and menopausal. Three‐dimensional (3D) evaluation of the endometrial vasculature was done and the parameters quantified included vascularization index (VI), flow index (FI), vascularization flow index (VFI), endometrial thickness, endometrial volume and uterine volume. JASP, an open‐source statistical analysis software, was used for analysis and an independent t‐test to compare the vascularity indices. A multivariate regression analysis was also done to look at the factors affecting the endometrial vascular indices within the luteal phase. Results A total of 461 women were studied: 122 in the follicular phase, 199 in the luteal phase, 90 after a spontaneous miscarriage, 29 postpartum, and 16 menopausal. The vascularity indices were highest after miscarriage and lowest postnatally. There were no significant effects of age, gravida, para, or abortions on VI and VFI.
