Abstract:With the application of activity-based cost simulation model widely, cost simulation model can provide a better perspective to understand their motivation for the enterprise implementation of activities, and the number of resource consumption during the campaign execution. Therefore, the basic model of logistics cost and activity-based cost and activity-based cost management methods are combined, in order to make it more adapt to the field of logistics. This paper starts from ABC, ABC in the interpretation of the application of the third party logistics enterprise, proved effective on the control of logistics cost to ABC, adapt to the modern logistics enterprise management way, and accurately calculate the logistics cost, provide a more effective basis and support for the decision-making of logistics enterprises.

Abstract:Activity-Based Costing (ABC) is an effective approach used to accurately calculate cost and properly distribute cost. The reliable cost control has become the competition focus for Third-Party Logistics Enterprises (TPLs). Nowadays many TPLs have already been provided the prerequisite of applying ABC approach. Basing on the principle of ABC Control, this paper constructs the performance evaluation system in TPLs, establishes the adequate performance model with Fussy Overall Evaluation method building on Combination Weighting, and illustrates the reliability of this method by case analysis. The evaluation result will provide managers the evidence to enhance cost management continuously, and therefore establish pertinent measures and method to improve Cost Control adequately.

Abstract:In these years, third-party logistics have developed rapidly. In order to enhance the competitiveness of the third-party logistics enterprise in the market, logistics cost should be studied. In order to optimize the logistics cost, the following steps are proposed in this studies. Firstly, activity-based costing method is used to calculate the logistics cost. Secondly, program analysis method is applied to analyze and optimize the warehouse system. Then, Flexsim software is used to improve the distribution system. Finally, activity-based costing method is applied to evaluate the improved management strategy. According to the improved results, it is found that the new strategy is more reasonable.

Abstract:This paper examines the usage of third party logistics services in China. Foci was made on four constructs that we believe are the primary determinants of the future usage of third party logistics service. These constructs are: extent of use of the third party logistics services in the manufacturing and the trading enterprises; decision making process for choosing a contract logistics services provider; impact on the usage of contract logistics services on the organization; and different types of demands in different industries. An empirical research was carried out to study the impact of these four factors on the future usage of third party logistics services. Results based on the analysis of data relating to 156 firms in China indicate that the extent of use of the third party logistics services between manufacturing enterprises and trading enterprises differ greatly. Most of these users are satisfied with the services providers and have largely seen positive developments within the organization. With a high current level of satisfaction, most firms surveyed indicated a moderate to substantial increase in usage of their services.

Abstract:Compared to the general logistics, the cold chain logistics is more expensive and the cost structure is more complex. It plays an important role in logistics. The importance of the logistic cost determines that it must be as accurate as possible, which requires higher requirements for accounting methods. In order to carry out cost accounting better, this paper uses activity-based costing and multistage mode, assembling the indirect cost into operations according to resource driver, forming the ABC library. The cost allocation rates are determined by the activity driver. The cost in the ABC library is assigned to various cold chain logistics service according to the cost allocation rates. In this way, we can obtain the cost object, which is the indirect cost of the third-party cold chain logistics services. Based on activity-based costing, this paper establishes a cost accounting model for the third-party cold chain logistics enterprises. Apply this model to one of the third-party cold chain logistics enterprises and analysis the cost accounting. Research results show that cost accounting based on activity-based costing is more accurate, truthful and objective compared to traditional cost accounting methods for indirect cost. The cost method is conducive to control cost effectively and to make better decisions for enterprises.

Abstract:This paper mainly studies the relationship between logistics selection and enterprise cost control through multiple angles and case studies of different enterprises. In the paper, the concept and segmentation of cost control, as well as the current logistics model in China and the applicable types of enterprises are introduced. Finally, it is concluded that more large enterprises can choose the self-operated logistics model, and small enterprises, especially self-employed enterprises, are more suitable for the model of cooperation with third-party logistics.

Third-party marine logistics is a form of marine logistics that adapts to such an environment and needs and is the result of the professionalization and industrialization of marine logistics. From the research summaries of the literature, it can be seen that China's warehousing industry has improved its operational efficiency and management level under the impetus of the state's implementation of macroeconomic regulation and control, highlighting the good momentum of its development. However, from the symposium on the hot issues of the modern warehousing industry held by the China Storage Association in July 2006, there are still many problems to be solvedy: the average size of the warehousing industry is small; the warehousing industry has the lowest economic efficiency; the industry has the highest assetliability ratio.

Abstract:As an integral part of contemporary economy, logistics plays an increasingly important role in the development and progress of national economy and society. As the mainstream industry to maintain the economic operation, the high cost of logistics weakens the competitiveness of enterprises and is not conducive to the transformation and upgrading of China's economy. Under the current accounting system, the logistics cost obtained by the traditional accounting method is also inaccurate and not comparable, which is not helpful for cost control. Activity ‐ based costing, a new way, effectively makes up for the shortage of traditional cost and provides a new way of thinking for cost control. This paper introduces the concept of cost ‐ based logistics enterprise cost control research activities, and applies cost ‐ based cost accounting method in the complete cost control process.
