Abstract:•A mixed hemimicelles MSPE method based on RTILs and Fe3O4/SiO2 NPs was developed.•The method combined the advantages of magnetic nanoparticles and mixed hemimicelles.•A comparative study on the use of RTILs and CTAB-coated Fe3O4/SiO2 NPs was presented.•Satisfactory extraction factors were obtained using a small amount of NPs and RTILs.•The method is applicable for extraction of natural substances from bio-matrix sample.
