Abstract:We have demonstrated that the aromatic amphiphile consisting of a hydrophilic dendron and an aromatic segment with a planar conformation can selectively exfoliate graphite powder into single- and double-layer graphene sheets in aqueous solution through hydrophilic functionalization of graphene surfaces.
