Abstract:While networked education systems move at a very fast pace recent years, efficiency and quality of such education model receive much attention. On the basis of networked co-learning system establishment and experience in a large famous university, the authors present criteria to evaluate the quality of education and propose a learning action analysis method for the evaluation. Abstract:Blended online English learning has become a way to expand English outside the classroom. In the future, the blended learning approach allows students to learn English knowledge without the constraints of time, place and teacher subjects in traditional classroom teaching. However, there are still many problems in online English teaching in colleges and universities. The top three learning evaluation methods are: online exams, classroom assignments, and online answering tasks. Other learning evaluation methods are arranged in descending order. They are to evaluate their own English learning, to draw a conceptual map of learning knowledge, and to accept the teacher's opinion for advice. The performance of the three models has declined, and the performance of the online learning teaching model is still the highest among the three models. The accuracy of the online learning teaching model is 73.81%, indicating that the performance of online learning and teaching is the best.

Abstract:International Journal of High Speed Electronics and Systems, Ahead of Print. In the era of informatization, the rapid development of network technology has brought unprecedented changes to the field of education. Especially in the field of Chinese language teaching, the introduction of network technology not only enriches teaching methods, but also greatly expands students' learning perspectives. However, the openness and diversity of the online environment have also brought many challenges to Chinese language teaching. How to optimize Chinese language teaching curriculum strategies under the constraints of parallel network behavior has become an urgent problem to be solved in the current education field. Traditional evaluation methods often focus on the level of knowledge mastery of students, while neglecting their learning behavior and abilities in the online environment. Therefore, we need to establish a diversified evaluation system that includes students' internet behavior, information literacy, innovation ability and other aspects in the evaluation scope, in order to comprehensively reflect their language literacy and learning level. This paper proposes a series of innovative and optimized strategies for Chinese language teaching courses in the online environment, including promoting the "reverse classroom" teaching mode, utilizing online resources for situational teaching, stimulating students' learning interest through online interactive platforms and establishing an effective teaching evaluation and feedback mechanism.

Abstract:In a contemporary Chinese full time college education, it is an emerging need to know how to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the network-based courses which have played a more and more important role in assisting classroom instruction. In this study, an evaluation framework for assessing network assisted courses is proposed based on the particular functions of the THEOL learning management system, which has been used in more than two hundred universities in China. This evaluation framework has four features: 1) The evaluating approaches include questionnaire surveys of experts and students, and computer-generated quantitative reviews; 2) the data sources include questionnaires, documents and log files which are automatically generated on the learning system in instructional activities; 3) the audiences could be administrators, instructors and students relevant to the online courses and the designers of the learning system as well; 4) The evaluation results include not only the summative report which indicates quality and effectiveness of the courses for administrators but also the formative analysis provided to the instructors.

Abstract:This is a dialogue among two scholars about current development and change of distance education in China. Although significant achievements have been made,many problems also emerged in the third generation of distance education. To solve these problems,the authors argue that building and refining a robust evaluation system is one of the priorities. Besides the evaluation of institution and its learning support service delivery,the components of this new system include various emerging models for assessment of learning and evaluation of instructor,curriculum and resources. Around this priority,Learning assessment and resource evaluation could be the first two breakthroughs in the reform of distance education,with the purpose to improve learners' independent learning ability,self confidence and comprehensive quality. This is the bottleneck and key to build high quality distance education in China.

Research and Practice in Technology Enhanced Learning

Abstract:Abstract This study aimed at proposing an e-Learning framework in school education. The proposed framework consisted of technology and pedagogy dimensions. The method of computer-aided analysis of learners’ reflection text was used to evaluate the pedagogical delivery of the proposed framework. A study involving 33 in-service teachers in a teacher development course was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of the pedagogical delivery. The computer-aided analysis of learners’ reflection text on “what is e-Learning” before and after the teaching of the course showed that learners deepened their understanding about the technology use and the importance of pedagogy in e-Learning, to consider more the component on theories/models/principles/strategies in pedagogical design and practices, emphasize more the reflection and discussion in learning and teaching activities, and also realize more the possibility of pedagogical decision-making using data collected from online learning. The questionnaire survey and focus group interview with learners also indicated that the pedagogical delivery of the e-Learning framework with the support from the computer-aided analysis of learners’ reflection text coupled with hierarchical visualization of analysis results was positively perceived. The research findings contribute pioneering insights into the use of a computer-aided approach for an accurate and efficient evaluation in teacher development courses on e-Learning.

Abstract:With the rapid development of science and technology, the use of network information technology means more and more widely; network teaching platform has become an important measure to promote the development of education and improve the quality of teaching. The network teaching platform has been widely used and plays a vital role in the construction of teaching informationization and modernization. However, the study of student learning quality evaluation under the network teaching platform has become a huge challenge. In order to solve this problem, this paper takes the teaching of basic Python course as an example, adopts data-driven theory, and combs the teaching process of network teaching platform. Curriculum can be divided into class leading learning stage, stage of studies in class, and after class extension stage and uses the panel method, literature query method, mathematical statistics, performance appraisal, and questionnaire survey method to analyze the factors influencing the quality of learning curriculum implementation, and compared with the traditional classroom teaching, build more indicators of curriculum implementation under the network teaching platform to support students' learning quality evaluation scheme. The experimental results show that, through the statistics of the evaluation index data, using the analysis method of the KMO coefficient and the KMO test, the three stages of the curriculum implementation of the KMO coefficient and the KMO test prove that the constructed learning quality evaluation scheme has high credibility and good structural validity. Based on class leading learning stage, stage of inquiry learning in the class, after class extension stage, and students' learning quality correlation analysis, using Pearson correlation test, it is concluded that different index correlations with students' academic performance prove students' input and participation, learning ability and innovation ability, self-study ability and students' learning achievement of great relevance. It has a direct impact on students' learning quality. The results of this study provide powerful data and theoretical support for educators to carry out network teaching.

Abstract:The conventional teaching approach is reversed in the flipped classroom, which means a reversal of teaching and learning. Learners use micro-videos and guided learning plans to learn knowledge before class. Then, they discuss, communicate, and cooperate with teachers and classmates in class to promote the internalization of knowledge. At the same time, the flipped classroom is student-oriented, with the teacher as the leader and organizer to help students acquire knowledge. Although this teaching model is widely used in the world, it is in its infancy in China, and there is little research on the teaching practice and assessment system of English flipped classroom in higher education. Therefore, this paper analyzes the current situation of English flipped classroom in higher education in China by reviewing four aspects: research on the practice of flipped classroom, theoretical research, problems of assessment in practice, and countermeasures of assessment problems in practice, and proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for improvement, so as to provide reference and reference for English teachers in higher education of China.

Abstract:Tertiary institutions are increasingly providing Web‐based courses to learners both on‐campus and off‐campus, enabling more students to take these courses and get the most recent information. Students can also learn more interactively with the new types of instruction methods used online. Synchronous or asynchronous communication via computer networks can also greatly facilitate the learning process. In order to help the teachers and administrators of the Web‐based learning systems to improve the effectiveness of their instruction and design better online learning software, we have implemented an exploratory investigation of the behaviour of the students in the Web‐based learning environment. Multiple approaches were adopted to collect data, which included questionnaires, posted documents, online logs, interviews and observations. Comparison and analyses are also made between students in different semesters, and under different instruction methods. Some viewpoints on the construction of the Web‐based learning systems are proposed.
Intelligent Evaluation and Reflection Model Applied in Internet Smart Teaching Tools by Computer Remote Video Technology

Abstract:To prevent and control the outbreak of coronavirus disease, in the spring of 2020 the Ministry of Education in China announced an initiative for universities to postpone the back-to-school season and start nationwide online teaching. This paper first summarizes the literature review of research on online teaching at home and abroad. Then it introduces the application of smart teaching tool Rain Classroom in College English course at Huazhong Agricultural University and the teaching design before, during, and after class. After comparative teaching experiments, empirical data suggest that students achieved notable progress in academic performance in classes using smart teaching tools. In the questionnaire survey, students show high level of adaptability and satisfaction to the teaching model and learning outcomes. Thus it can be concluded that smart teaching tools guaranteed the high quality of online teaching during the coronavirus pandemic. At last, the author proposes suggestions on the R& D of smart teaching tools and faculty teaching development. It is hoped that this paper can provide reference for future research on online teaching.

Abstract:Online learning platforms play an important role in modern education. However, they may not be sufficiently represented in educational institutions. In this regard, the research objectives are set, namely: organize a comparative analysis of several popular distance learning platforms (Moodle, Open edX and NEO LMS) in accordance with the criteria (system features, content support, content creation, user management, reporting system; conduct consultation with university teachers, during which they will highlight the benefits of distance education systems from the point of view of the teacher; and test students, who use the online platform for learning in order to clarify its impact on academic performance. While consulting with 40 teachers of Russian and Chinese universities (Moscow State University, Higher School of Economics, Peking University, Tsinghua University), the following advantages of distance platforms have been highlighted: greater freedom of access, lower education prices, the possibility of dividing the content of the e-course into modules, flexibility of education, the ability to keep up with modern pace of life, and the ability to define criteria for assessing knowledge. According to the results of testing, after working with the Moodle platform, students (300 people in total) with different academic performance have improved their results. The most significant improvement has occurred among students with “unsatisfactory” grades; more than 50% have improved their results. Analysis of distance learning systems, testing of students and consultation with teachers allow saying that such platforms help to make education more accessible and convenient. Besides, information technologies are introduced in the educational process. That is why it is important to implement such platforms in higher education.

Abstract:With the rapid development of information technology, the network has become a part of the daily life of current college students. The use of network tools to develop college English teaching platform is necessary and beneficial. Various versions of online English teaching platforms have been developed in China and used by many Chinese universities. Through research and analysis, according to the theory of communicative learning, this paper puts forward the design plan of English university teaching platform for Chinese colleges and universities. The article first summarizes the research origin and importance of the college English online teaching platform. It then outlines the current situation of college English online teaching platforms and provides a demonstration of a specific platform for a specific teaching network. This article discusses the research on deep learning using advanced technology on college English teaching platforms. Through questionnaires, group discussions, in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and other research methods, we can understand the current situation of school computer networks from a macro perspective. It integrates foreign language courses and the problems teachers and students encounter in the process. The results show that 56% of the students said that this method can promote their own learning, and 12% of the students think that there will be no good learning effect. For this new test method, 86% of the teachers think that it can achieve a certain learning effect, which is a good similar to an adaptive test method.
