Abstract:The paper addresses key issues of analysis, design, and utilization of fuzzy control and fuzzy controllers, in particular. As the development in this area is clustered around experiential or model-based control, those two avenues are discussed in detail and carefully contrasted with regard to their generality, adaptability, and applicability. Hybrid structures involving fuzzy coordinators (task and gain schedulers) are investigated. Learning and adaptation aspects are also covered
