Abstract:The notions of a ''weak group entwining structure'' and an ''invertible weak group entwining structure'' are introduced. Furthermore, the relationship between them and group corings is also investigated. It turns out that (weak) group entwining structures and (weak) group entwined modules can be viewed as group corings and comodules over group corings, respectively, which generalizes the recent work of Brzezinski (2002) and Brzezinski et al. (2006).

Abstract:Generalizing the idea of viewing a digraph as a model of a linear map, we suggest a multi-variable analogue of a digraph, called a hydra, as a model of a multi-linear map. Walks in digraphs correspond to usual matrix multiplication while walks in hydras correspond to the tensor multiplication introduced by Robert Grone in 1987. By viewing matrix multiplication as a special case of this tensor multiplication, many concepts on strongly connected digraphs are generalized to corresponding ones for hydras, including strongly connectedness, periods and primitiveness, etc. We explore the structure of all possible periods of strongly connected hydras, which turns out to be related to the existence of certain kind of combinatorial designs. We also provide estimates of largest primitive exponents and largest diameters of relevant hydras. Much existing research on tensors are based on some other definitions of multiplications of tensors and so our work here supplies new perspectives for understanding irreducible and primitive nonnegative tensors.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the notion of the weak majority dimension of a digraph which is well-defined for any digraph. We first study properties shared by the weak dimension of a digraph and show that a weak majority dimension of a digraph can be arbitrarily large. Then we present a complete characterization of digraphs of weak majority dimension $0$ and $1$, respectively, and show that every digraph with weak majority dimension at most two is transitive. Finally, we compute the weak majority dimensions of directed paths and directed cycles and pose open problems.

Abstract:For a nonnegative weakly irreducible tensor A, we give some characterizations of the spectral radius of A, by using the digraph associated with the tensor A. As applications, some bounds on the spectral radius of the adjacency tensor and the signless Laplacian tensor of a k-uniform hypergraph are obtained.

Abstract:We propose a tensor product structure that is compatible with the hypergraph structure. We define the algebraic connectivity of the $(m+1)$-uniform hypergraph in this product, and prove the relationship with the vertex connectivity. We introduce some connectivity optimization problem into the hypergraph, and solve them with the algebraic connectivity. We introduce the Laplacian eigenmap algorithm to the hypergraph under our tensor product.

Abstract:We first introduce the definitions of weak semi-Hopf group coalgebras, weak group entwining structures and weak group coalgebra Galois extensions, then we state that any weak group coalgebra. Galois extension induces a weak group entwining map compatible with the right group coaction. Notice that when the group is trivial our results axe just those of weak entwining structures in [3], at the same time they are also a generalization of group coalgebra Galois extensions and group entwining structures introduced by Shuan-hong Wang in [9].

Abstract:Weakly distance-regular digraphs are a natural directed version of distance-regular graphs. In [8], the third author and Suzuki proposed a question when an orientation of a distance-regular graph defines a weakly distance-regular digraph. In this paper, we initiate this project, and classify all commutative weakly distance-regular digraphs whose underlying graphs are Hamming graphs, folded n-cubes and Doob graphs, respectively.

Abstract:Positive spanning sets (PSSs) are families of vectors that span a given linear space through non-negative linear combinations. Despite certain classes of PSSs being well understood, a complete characterization of PSSs remains elusive. In this paper, we explore a relatively understudied relationship between positive spanning sets and strongly edge-connected digraphs, in that the former can be viewed as a generalization of the latter. We leverage this connection to define a decomposition structure for positive spanning sets inspired by the ear decomposition from digraph theory.

Abstract:A digraph is semicomplete if any two vertices are connected by at least one arc and is locally semicomplete if the out-neighbourhood (resp. in-neighbourhood) of any vertex induces a semicomplete digraph. Abstract:We consider $p$-weak differentiable structures that were recently introduced by the first and last named authors, and prove that the product of $p$-weak charts is a $p$-weak chart. This implies that the product of two spaces with a $p$-weak differentiable structure also admits a $p$-weak differentiable structure. We make partial progress on the tensorization problem of Sobolev spaces by showing an isometric embedding result. Further, we establish tensorization when one of the factors is PI.

Abstract:Let . Motivated by the notion of jumbled graphs introduced by Thomason, the expander mixing lemma and Haemers's vertex separation inequality, we say that a graph G with n vertices is a weakly -graph if holds for every pair of disjoint proper subsets X , Y of V ( G ) with no edge between X and Y . It is an -graph if in addition X and Y are not necessarily disjoint. Using graph eigenvalues, we show that every graph can be an -graph and/or a weakly -graph for some specific value . For instances, the expander mixing lemma implies that a d -regular graph on n vertices with the second largest absolute eigenvalue at most is an -graph, and Haemers's vertex separation inequality implies that every graph is a weakly -graph with , where denotes the i -th smallest Laplacian eigenvalue. This motivates us to study -graph and weakly -graph in general. Our main results include the following. (i) For any weakly -graph G , the matching number . If in addition G is a ( U , W )-bipartite graph with where , then . (ii) For any -graph G , If in addition G is a ( U , W )-bipartite graph with and no isolated vertices, then . (iii) If G is a weakly -graph for or an -graph for , then G has a fractional perfect matching. In addition, G has a perfect matching when n is even and G is factor-critical when n is odd. (iv) For any connected -graph G , the toughness . For any connected weakly -graph G , and if n is large enough, then for any . The results imply many old and new results in spectral graph theory, including several new lower bounds on matching number, fractional matching number and toughness from eigenvalues. In particular, we obtain a new lower bound on toughness via normalized Laplacian eigenvalues that extends a theorem originally conjectured by Brouwer from regular graphs to general graphs.

Abstract:Suppose that integral(x) = x(x-k), where k is an odd positive integer. First, an infinite digraph G(k) =(V,E) is defined, where the vertex set is V = Z and the edge set is E = { (x,y is an element of Z, f(x) f(2y)}. Then the following results are proved: if k = 1, then the digraph Gk is weakly connected; if p is a safe prime, i.e., both p and q = (p-1)/2 are primes, then the number w(p) of weakly connected components of the digraph G(p) is 2. Finally, a conjecture that there are infinitely many primes p such that w(p) = 2 is presented.
