A Computational Simulation Model for Understanding the Correlation of Climate Change and Population Migration

Abstract:Human migration is a very complex socialphenomenon, with many factors which are affecting the result,such as natural ecological environmental factors, as well aseconomic, political and cultural factors. Researching on theseinfluences to figure out how the factor causes the effect onhuman society will be beneficial to the production of humansociety activities. Human migration owing to climate change isone aspect of these influences. We build a computationalsimulating platform based on Agent-Based modeling, whichpresents simulation results by external tools. By using theseresearching approaches, this research makes a goodpreparation for continual quantitative studies in the area ofhuman migration influenced by climate change.
