Abstract:In this paper, we consider a kind of fully coupled slow fast motion, in which the slow variable satisfies the non Lipschitz condition. We prove that the stochastic flow of the slow variable exists and moreover, satisfies the large deviation principle. The argument is mainly based on Khasminskii's averaging principle, the variational representation of the exponential functional of the Brownian motion, and the weak convergence framework proposed by Budhiraja and Dupuis.

Abstract:The Freidlin–Wentzell's large deviation principle is established for a class of multi-scale stochastic models involving slow–fast components, where the slow component has general monotone drift and the fast component has dissipative drift driven by multiplicative noise. Our result is applicable to various slow–fast stochastic dynamical systems such as stochastic porous media equations, stochastic p -Laplace equations and stochastic reaction–diffusion equations. The weak convergence method and the technique of time discretization are used to establish the Laplace principle (equivalently, large deviation principle) under the multi-scale framework.

Abstract:Let x→ϕs,t(x) be a Rd-valued stochastic homeomorphic flow produced by non-Lipschitz stochastic differential equation ϕs,t(x)=x+∫stσ(ϕs,u(x))⋅dWu+∫stb(ϕs,u(x))du, where W=(W1,W2,…) is an infinite sequence of independent standard Brownian motions. We first give some estimates of modulus of continuity of {ϕs,t(⋅)}, then prove that the flow ϕs,t(x), when x nears infinity, grows slower than Zexp{clnln|x|} for some constant c>0 and integrable random variable Z via lemma of Garsia–Rodemich–Rumsey Lemma (abbreviated as GRR Lemma) improved by Arnold and Imkeller [L. Arnold, P. Imkeller, Stratonovich calculus with spatial parameters and anticipative problems in multiplicative ergodic theory, Stochastic Process. Appl. 62 (1996) 19–54] and moment estimates for one- and two-point motions.
Large deviation principles for singular Riesz-type diffusive flows

Abstract:We combine hydrodynamic and modulated energy techniques to study the large deviations of systems of particles with pairwise singular repulsive interactions and additive noise. Specifically, we examine periodic Riesz interactions indexed by parameter $\mathbf{s}\in[0,d-2)$ for $d\geq 3$ on the torus. When $\mathbf{s}\in(0,d-2)$, we establish a large deviation principle (LDP) upper bound and partial lower bound given sufficiently strong convergence of the initial conditions. When $\mathbf{s}=0$ (i.e., the interaction potential is logarithmic), we prove that a complete LDP holds. Additionally, we show a local LDP holds in the distance defined by the modulated energy.

Abstract:We obtain sample-path large deviations for a class of one-dimensional stochastic differential equations with bounded drifts and heavy-tailed Lévy processes. These heavy-tailed Lévy processes do not satisfy the exponential integrability condition, which is a common restriction on the Lévy processes in existing large deviations contents. We further prove that the solution processes satisfy a weak large deviation principle with a discrete rate function and logarithmic speed. We also show that they do not satisfy the full large deviation principle.

Abstract:In this paper we consider the multispecies stirring process on the discrete torus. We prove a large deviation principle for the trajectory of the vector of densities of the different species. The technique of proof consists in extending the method of the foundational paper [1] based on the superexponential estimate to the multispecies setting. This requires a careful choice of the corresponding weakly asymmetric dynamics, which is parametrized by fields depending on the various species. We also prove the hydrodynamic limit of this weakly asymmetric dynamics, which is similar to but different from the ABC model in [2]. Using the appropriate asymmetric dynamics, we also obtain that the mobility matrix relating the drift currents to the fields coincides with the covariance matrix of the reversible multinomial distribution, which then further leads to the Einstein relation

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the large deviations of invariant measure for the 3D stochastic hyperdissipative Navier-Stokes equations driven by additive noise. The unique ergodicity of invariant measure as a preliminary result is proved using a deterministic argument by the exponential moment and exponential stability estimates. Then, the uniform large deviations is established by the uniform contraction principle. Finally, using the unique ergodicity and the uniform large deviations results, we prove the large deviations of invariant measure by verifying the Freidlin-Wentzell large deviations upper and lower bounds.

The main difficulties come from the lack of a suitable compact embedding into the space occupied by the solutions and the inherent complexity of equation. Abstract:The asymptotic analysis of a class of stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs) with fully local monotone coefficients covering a large variety of physical systems, a wide class of quasilinear SPDEs and a good number of fluid dynamic models is carried out in this work. The aim of this work is to develop the large deviation theory for small Gaussian as well as Poisson noise perturbations of the above class of SPDEs. We establish a Wentzell-Freidlin type large deviation principle for the strong solution to such SPDEs perturbed by a multiplicative Lévy noise in a suitable Polish space using a variational representation (based on a weak convergence approach) for nonnegative functionals of general Poisson random measures and Brownian motions. The well-posedness of an associated deterministic control problem is established by exploiting pseudo-monotonicity arguments and the stochastic counterpart is obtained by an application of Girsanov's theorem.

Abstract:A large deviation principle is derived for stochastic partial differential equations with slow-fast components. The result shows that the rate function is exactly that of the averaged equation plus the fluctuating deviation which is a stochastic partial differential equation with small Gaussian perturbation. This also confirms the effectiveness of the approximation of the averaged equation plus the fluctuating deviation to the slow-fast stochastic partial differential equations.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the large deviation principle of the stochastic reaction-diffusion lattice systems defined on the N-dimensional integer set, where the nonlinear drift term is locally Lipschitz continuous with polynomial growth of any degree and the nonlinear diffusion term is locally Lipschitz continuous with linear growth. We first prove the convergence of the solutions of the controlled stochastic lattice systems, and then establish the large deviations by the weak convergence method based on the equivalence of the large deviation principle and the Laplace principle.

Abstract:This work concerns generalized backward stochastic differential equations, which are coupled with a family of reflecting diffusion processes. First of all, we establish the large deviation principle for forward stochastic differential equations with reflecting boundaries under weak monotonicity conditions. Then based on the obtained result and the contraction principle, the large deviation principle for the generalized backward stochastic differential equations is proved. As a by-product, we obtain a limit result about parabolic partial differential equations with the nonlinear Neumann boundary conditions.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a class of reflected stochastic differential equations for which the constraint is not on the paths of the solution but on its law. We establish a small noise large deviation principle, a large deviation for short time, the Malliavin derivative and the smoothness of the density. To prove large deviation principles, a sufficient condition for the weak convergence method, which is suitable for Mckean–Vlasov stochastic differential equation, plays an important role.
