Abstract:In the traditional ITS information service systems, the users often get the real-time traffic information through observing the road state map or video pictures. This manner is often useful, but is not suitable for the people who are driving or doing other things which need their eyes. Through network station based on stream media, users can get the traffic information easily even they are driving or doing some other things. However, because of the limitation of the traditional network station's architecture, it can not meet the requirement of large-scale transferring real-time traffic information in audio data. This paper designed an advanced network station system to transfer the real-time traffic information with audio data. Whose listening client can render the audio data that includes the real-time traffic information to the user based on the user's position. For the system's architecture is extensible and the audio data's transmission is peer-to-peer, the network station system can support the listening client's large-scale accessing. The presented paper covers the following topics. •• The collection and distribution of real-time traffic audio data. •• The architecture of network station system for real-time traffic information. •• The communication protocol of system. •• The transferring control of audio stream in the system.
