Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(22)H(17)BrO(6), quinone ring makes a dihedral angle of 81.84 (3)degrees with benzene ring. The chiral C atoms, viz. the ring C atoms the hydroxy and bromophenyl substituents, exhibit R and S configurations, respectively. The terminal ethyl group of -CO(2)CH(2)CH(3) group is disordered over two sets of sites site-occupancy factors of 0.64 (1) and 0.36 (1). O-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions further stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:The title compound, (1R,2R,3R,5S)-3-(3-chlorophenyl)-1-hydroxy-2-methyl-6-phenyl-8-oxa-6-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-7-one, was synthesized and characterized by H-1 and C-13 NMR and HRMS spectroscopy. Its absolute molecular configuration was investigated by X-ray crystallography. The crystal structure analysis revealed that the structure exhibits intermolecular hydrogen bonds of the type O-H horizontal ellipsis O. The methyl group and chlorophenyl group are located in the cis configuration. The conformation is stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H... O interactions.

Abstract:The title molecule, C22H16ClNO5, was obtained by the reaction of (E)-ethyl 3-(3-chlorophenyl)-2-cyanoacrylate and 2-hydroxynaphthalene-1,4-dione catalysed by triethylamine in ethanol. In the crystal structure, the chlorobenzene ring makes a dihedral angle of 88.63 (4)degrees with the fused ring system. The six-membered ring formed by an intramolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond is almost planar. The crystal packing is stabilized by N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds.

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].
