Abstract:In this study, 21 species of Hybos Meigen, 1803 are reviewed in Huaping National Nature Reserve, China. Among these, three species, i.e., Hybos denticulatus sp. nov. , Hybos forcipata sp. nov. and H. paraterminalis sp. nov. , are described as new to science. In addition, nine known species of this genus are reported for the first time in Guangxi. All the known species were enumerated, and an identification key to the species of Hybos from Huaping National Nature Reserve based on morphological characteristics is provided.

Abstract:Two new species from China, Hymenogaster pseudoniveus and H. zunhuaensis, are described and illustrated based on morphological and molecular evidence. Hymenogaster pseudoniveus is distinguished from other species of the genus based on the color of peridium, which is snow white to white when unexcavated but then turns yellowish to earth yellow, and the basidiospores, which are ornamented with nearly longitudinally arranged ridges up to 2 μm high. H. zunhuaensis is diagnosed by its dirty white to pale yellow peridium, yellow brown to brown gleba, and the smaller (Lm × Wm = 11.7 μm × 9.8 μm) broadly ellipsoidal to subglobose basidiospores (Q = 1.1–1.3). ITS/LSU-based phylogenetic analysis supports the erection of the two new species, each placed in distinct clades with strong statistical support, suggesting that they represent two distinct species novel to science. Based on the morphological and molecular evidence, we have published two new species of Hymenogaster. A key for Hymenogaster species from China is provided.

Abstract:Two new Chinese species of the genus Hishimonoides Ishihara are described.A key to all six species of this genus found in China is provided. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University.Hishimonoides dentimarginus sp. nov. (Figs.1-7)Body length (incl. tegm.): ♂4.5-4.7mm.Head including eyes as wide as pronotum, wide between eyes slightly more than as twice as median length of vertex, pronotum longer than scutellum.Vertex pale yellow with a transverse reddish brown band,at apex of vertex with two fuscus spots,face pale yellow mottled irregularly with round brown spots. Holotype ♂, paratype 1♂, Huixian (35°27′N,113°47′E), Henan Province,12 July 2002, coll.by CHEN Xiang-Sheng.This new species is allied to Hishimonoides recurvatis Li in appearance and colour pattern,but can be distinguished from the latter by 1) the central region of pronotum black,2) pygofer side obtusely rounded caudally,caudal margin serate,and 3) end of style is concave. Etymology, The new species name is from the Latin dent-plus margin,which means the caudal margin of pygofer side with serrate.Hishimonoides laterosporeus sp. nov.(Figs.8-14)Body length (incl. tegm.): ♂4.6-4.7mm,♀ 4.7-4.8mm.Body shape same as previous species description.Vertex blunty pointed margin, width between eyes more than as twice as middle length.Vertex pale yellow,with a transverse orange band,at apex with two brown spots,pronotum pale yellow with black reticulated striations, abdominal terga and sterna dark brown.Holotype ♂, paratypes: 1♂, 2♀♀, Zhalantun (45°05′N,122°45′E), Nei Mongol Autonomous Region, 27 Aug. 1996, coll. by YANG Mao-Fa.This new species is related to Hishimonoides aurifascialis Kuoh in appearance and colour pattern,but can be distinguished from the latter by 1) pygofer side with a tooth-shaped process,2) outside of the first pair paraphyses with a triangular process, and 3) the second pair of paraphyses is parallel.Etymology, The new species name is from the Latin later-plus spore,which means the first pair paraphyses of aedeagus with a triangular process.

Abstract:Two new species of the genus Sphingonotus Fieber, 1852, namely Sphingonotus taiwanensis sp. nov. and Sphingonotus zhongningensis sp. nov. are described in this paper from China. The new species Sphingonotus taiwanensis sp. nov. is similar to Sphingonotus nebulosus (Fiescher-Waldheim, 1846), but differs from the latter by interspace of mesosternum wider, width 1.8 times the length; hind femur pale red on inner side; hind tibia pale red, with 13 spines on inner side and 10 spines on outer side; hind wing pale yellow at base. The new species Sphingonotus zhongningensis sp. nov. is similar to Sphingonotus salinus (Pallas, 1773), but differs from the latter in: vertical diameter of eye 1.3 times horizontal diameter; metazona of pronotum is 2.0 times prozona in length; hind tibiae with 13 spines on inner side and 12 spines on outer side; black band of hind wing wider in the middle, apical part not narrowed; black band of hind wing in the apical part larger, not divided into two.The type specimens are deposited in the Taiwan Agricultural Research of Institute (TARI), Taichung Taiwan, China and in the College of Plant Protection, China Agricultural University, Beijing, China respectively.

Abstract:Twelve species of the genus Euhybus are now known from Chine, including five species described as new to science: Euhybus basiflavus sp. nov., E. furcatus sp. nov., E. tenuifemur sp. nov., E. wuyishananus sp. nov. and E. yunnanensis sp. nov. All species are provided with diagnoses and distributions. Five new species are also provided with detailed descriptions and color illustrations. A distribution map and an identification key to all Chinese species of Euhybus are also provided.

Abstract:The genus Heteribalia Sakagami (1949) is a member of the small parasitic wasp family Ibaliidae (Hymenoptera:Cynipoidea),and all known species of this genus are fiom China and its neighbouring countries.In this paper,we report two new species,Heteribalia miltopronotum sp.nov.and Heteribalia sichuanensis sp.nov.,and distribution for H.divergens Maa (1949).These new discoveries update the known distribution of this genus in China from the known east coast areas to a much more extensive region between the eastern coast and Sichuan Province in central China.A key to all known Heteribalia species is provided.

Abstract:The Chinese species of the genus Heterospilus Haliday, 1836 from the Parasitic Hymenoptera Collection of Zhejiang Uni-versity were studied and thirty-four species are recognized, including 12 previously described species. Eighteen new spe-cies of this genus are described and illustrated: Heterospilus (Heterospilus) alternicoloratus sp. nov., H.(H.) balicyba sp. nov., H.(H.) chui sp. nov., H.(H.) curvisulcus sp. nov., H.(H.) densistriatus sp. nov., H.(H.) fujianensis sp. nov., H.(H.) jianfengensis sp. nov., H.(H.) liui sp. nov., H.(H.) longiventrius sp. nov., H.(H.) nanlingensis sp. nov., H.(H.) parvus sp. nov., H.(H.) prodigiosus sp. nov., H.(H.) punctatus sp. nov., H.(H.) qingliangensis sp. nov., H.(H.) semidepressus sp. nov., H.(H.) setosiscutum sp. nov., H.(H.) setosus sp. nov., and H.(H.) tenuitergum sp. nov. Seven species of Heterospilus are recorded for China for the first time: H. Abstract:Three Chinese species of Biroia Szépligeti, 1900 are recognized. Two new species, B. hirsutus sp. nov., B. baishanzuensis sp. nov., are described and illustrated. A new synonym is proposed, B. bicolor (Wang, 1984) with B. taeniocauda (Enderlein, 1920). A key to the Chinese species of the genus Biroia is provided.

Abstract:In this paper, one newly recorded genus, Amblyomma, and four newly recorded species, A. testudinarium, Haemaphysalis phasiana, H. hystricis, and Ixodes sinensis, are summarized. The genus and species belong to Ixodidae and are distributed in Hubei province, China. Their specimens are preserved in the Insect Collections, Wuhan Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Abstract:Two new species of the genus Eotmethis Bey-Bienko, 1948, namely Eotmethis xiai sp. nov., and Eotmethis platyverticus sp. nov. from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Gansu province are described in this paper. The new species Eotmethis xiai sp. nov. is allied to E. recipennis Xi & Zheng, 1986, but differs from latter by the vertical diameter of eye about 1.2 times as long as horizontal diameter, prozona of pronotum equal to metazona, tegmina of female shorter, reaching 2nd abdominal tergite only. The new species Eotmethis platyverticus sp. nov. is allied to E. holanennis Zheng & Gow, 1981, but differs from latter by width of vertex between eyes 2 times diameter of eye and prozona of pronotum longer than metazoan in female. The type specimens are deposited in College of Life Sciences, Hebei University, Baoding, China.

Abstract:Two new species i.e.: Humphaplotropis xiai sp. nov. and Humphaplotropis hebeiensis sp. nov. of the genus Humphaplotropis Xiao, Yin et Yin, 2013, are described from Hebei and Jiangsu, China in this paper. The new species Humphaplotropis xiai sp. nov. differs all known species of the genus by the abdomen like sawtooth in lateral view. The new species Humphaplotropis hebeiensis sp. nov. is similar to Humphaplotropis culaishanensis Lin, Cao et Yin, 2014, but differs from the latter by: lateral carinae of frontal ridge parallel; anterior margin of pronotum with acute angular in the middle, the apex reaching the hind margin of eyes; tegmina wider, cover 4/5 tympanum. Hind tibia yellow brown on upper side; epiphallus with 44 spikes, ancorae oblique inward distinctly, both posterior projections shorter than median projection. Type specimens are deposited in the Shanghai Entomological Museum, C.A.S., Shanghai and Natural Museum of Hebei University, Baoding, Hebei China respectively.

Both species differ from their congeners in characters of the male genitalia. Heteroconis terminalis (Banks, 1913) is redescribed based on examined Chinese specimens.
