Study on the Effect of Molding Pressure on Texturing of Bismuth Titanate Ceramic

Abstract:Highly c-axis-oriented Bi4Ti3O12 bulk ceramics were successfully fabricated by solid-state reaction method.Stress analysis of compacts during molding was studied.The results indicateed that degrees of orientation at different position of the ceramic were not the same duo to the nonuniform distrubution of the pressure.From the inner to the surface,the degree of orientation of the ceramics was gradually increased.The functional relation of the degree of orientation and the depth of ceramic is obtained by the least squares fitting.
