Abstract:We explain the decision making processes mentioned in the title in sections 1 through 4 of the full paper. Their core consists of: (1) we introduce the intercept time into the BVR cooperation combat model to evaluate the potential threat during the BVR air combat and the maximum team performance optimization to allocate the targets; (2) we introduce the threat evaluation model that uses multiple indexes into the WVR air combat so as to avoid threats according to the whole formation's shared detection information and for each fighter to attack its own targets according to its vision; when the multiple fighters combat other fighters within their vision, they choose their maneuver tactics according to the autonomous combat decision; (3) we use the fuzzy pattern recognition model to divide the combat stages appropriately and propose the transformation rules for air combat from BVR to WVR. Section 5 simulates our cooperation tactics; the simulation results, presented in Figs. 5 through 8 and Tables 1, 2 and 3, and their analysis show preliminarily that the multiple fighters that use the cooperation tactics have more advantages over the fighters that use only BVR, thus demonstrating that our cooperation tactics for combat from BVR to WVR are valid and effective for making transitions from BVR to WVR.
