Abstract:Better information leads to better design. In landscape design, the designers care for what plans affect the urban more than what their plans look like. In this paper, we discuss some key techniques in a GIS based landscape design system. With the advantage of the GIS, designers can make better decisions. A prototype named landscape evaluation system (LES) has been implemented. In LES system, designers can build up their virtual evaluation world, and establish the interrelationship of the entities in their virtual world.

In order to meets the requirement, a new thinking for land management pattern is put forward, and management tools of data center for integration of urban and rural areas are designed. the tools are based on GIS ,which have made the management of multi-subject, multi-area, multi-source and multi-measurement data possible. The tools have put into practice in land management and have obvious technical advantages.

Abstract:Automatical, scientific and modern management was the trend of land modifying investigation. According to the land modifying investigation characteristics, a management system base on ArcGIS Engine was designed to realize overlay analysis of different period and source data and output reports automatically. The results show that the designed system have strong special characteristic and practical value. The system can guarantee that the total area is not change before and after modifying. And the change stream can be analyzed, according to change data for outputting all kinds of report tables.

Abstract:Metadata make the spatial data more effective and have great benefits in data managing,using and sharing.The method how to design and realize land use metadata management subsystem has been especially discussed.Relationship of metadata inscape is first analyzed,then the module of managing metadata is designed and the process of designing metadata subsystem is analyzed.The XML(Extensible Markup Language) document is used as the way of organizing the content of land us metadata and the new technology XSLT(Extensible StyleSheet Language Transformations) is used to transform the document created by XML.The result is successfully integrated in the system of LanEx.The method that the paper adopted is of typical and general.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the software architecture of existing GIS applications in industry,a compound architecture pattern which integrates Client/Server architecture and Browser/Server architecture is proposed so as to better meet the requirement for geospatial information sharing and make better use of geospatial resources.The compound architecture is then used to remake the system which has been used in the Land and Resources industry,called Urban Cadastral Information System,by dividing the original single-architected system into several subsystems with the GIS functionality provided by the same GIS Server.The prototype system runs well and the expected goals are achieved,which to some extent solves the problem that once the single-architected system ran into,meets the demands for sharing the geospatial information and provides new thoughts for the GIS-related applications in other industries.

Abstract:China has the world's longest land boundary line with the length of over 22 000 km and borders 14 countries.The state boundary and border regions are characterized by extreme diversity in terms of geology,topology as well as culture,which makes the boundary delimitation,demarcation and maintenance very complicated and challenging.This paper gives a brief introduction of the research and development of the state digital boundary.A comprehensive spatial boundary database had been set up by spatial integration of multi-media,multi-temporal and multi scale boundary documents and data.Special information processing and analysis systems for delimitation and demarcation had been successfully developed by combing boundary legal knowledge and digital terrain analysis.Information systems for regular and daily boundary maintenance were also developed and now in operational use.

Abstract:China has formed a land survey flow that is based on land classification has the core of internal judgement and external investigation,which efficiently guided the land survey work in China.As economy goes on,however,a higher precision is required for land survey so that the traditional method can not meet the needs.This paper,based on the cores of land survey system,optimizes the land classification system,establishes a quantifying and standardization relation between land attributes and land utilization,which reverts the land survey process to land attributes survey and record process,and presents some suggestions improving the existing land survey system.

Abstract:In order to improve rural land management information and land intensive use,according to current situation of land and features of contract management,Beijing suburban agricultural land contract information management system was built based on Oracle database,ArcGIS Engine,ArcSDE and 3S.Key technology researches were developed such as multi-source heterogeneous data fusion,distributed virtual visiting,land parcel drew and property edited by PDA,results reported and data updated.It combined qualitative analysis,quantitative calculation with visual display to achieve space integrated management while rural land basic information acquisition machine PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) was adopted for the rapid field collection of basic data and updates.The system could achieve spatial decision support business management such as query and statistics,agricultural land transfer management,agricultural disaster assessment and agricultural insurance,agricultural products security.Running of the system promotes transition from the traditional and rough mode towards to the precise and scientific mode and provides sufficient data basis and analysis tool for management departments at all levels of government in rural areas to make rapid and scientific decision.It is very great significant for capital rural three agricultural development.

Abstract:Because of the functions of Geographic Information System(GIS) being not satisfied to the requirements of landscape analysis, a landscape analysis system was designed with Visual C + + and demonstrated with remote sensing data. This system adopted the method f picking-up patch boundary pixel set, improved the patch searching speed, and supplied some landscape analysis functions, such as the calculation of the distance between patches, and the boundary length of neighboring patch, which are not provided by current GIS. It was used to analyzed the landscape of suburbs in northwest Beijing, and the shortcomings of current GIS applied in landscape analysis were overcome.

Abstract:Field survey is a very important step in the process of land consolidation and rehabilitation. Traditional methods of field survey take much time and effort and it is difficult to locate facilities of projects, to measure area or length and to spot and record problems quickly and accurately. A global positioning system (GPS)-based field survey system is introduced. Firstly, the framework of the system is described. Secondly, the key technologies are shown, including data preparation, locating accurately, coordinate transformation, field measuring and field editing. Finally, further applications are discussed. The major result of this study is a GPS-based field survey system which will promote the application of GPS-personal digital assistant (PDA) technology in the field of land consolidation and rehabilitation, creating an effective method for improving field survey. In this paper, the authors analyse the demands of field survey and introduce the basic ideas of system design and the major functions of the system. This paper also focuses on the implementation of key technologies which are expressed by unified modelling language (UML) figures and tables, such as data preparation, field positioning, coordinate registration, field measurement and recording. It has been shown that the GPS-based field survey system can greatly enhance the quality and efficiency of field survey, help solve many technical problems and make field survey more straightforward. Widespread adoption of GPS-PDA technology is important to improving land and resource management.

Abstract:During the eleventh five years plan, land consolidation will be invested much than 300 billion RMB in China. The monitoring and management of the land consolidation project is important to ensure the huge investment in where need fund. Based on the need of the land consolidation monitoring and management operation and the characteristic of the high resolution remote sensing monitoring, the land consolidation remote sensing system is designed with three level such as application level, system function level and data server level. While based on the feature of the land consolidation remote sensing monitoring, the function module of the system is designed including file, display, the land consolidation project information extraction, land consolidation evaluation, tool box and so on. And based on the Titan Image development system, the mail frame of the system is constructed and the mostly function modules are developed. In further, part of the function module will be perfected.
