Abstract:Phytochemical studies on the whole plant of Incarvillea delavayi resulted in the isolation of three new compounds, incarvilleaol (1), incarvillaldehyde (2) and 2-(1,4-dihydroxycyclohexyl)ethyl caffeate (3). Their structures were defined on the basis of UV, IR, 1D- and 2D-NMR (H-1,H-1-COSY, DEPT, HSQC, HMBC),as well as HR-ESI-MS analyses.

Abstract:Two new monoterpene alkaloid derivatives, incargutosines C (1) and D (2), together with a known compound, argutine A (3) have been isolated from the roots of Incarvillea arguta Royle. The structures of 1 and 2 were established on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic analysis, while the absolute configurations of 1 and 2 were determined by a synthetic method. In addition, the cytotoxicity of 3 was evaluated using four tumor cell lines, A549, LOVO, 6T-CEM, and MDA-MB-435 (MDA) by the MTT assay.

Abstract:A new indole alkaloidal glucoside together with three known compounds aurantiamide acetate (2), eleutheroside E (3) and 1-O-caffeoyl-β-D-glucopyranoside (4) has been isolated from ethanol extract of the aerial parts of Clematis terniflora DC. On the basis of their spectroscopic and chemical evidence, the new compound was elucidated as (6-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-1H-indol-3-yl) carboxylic acid methyl ester (1). Compounds 1 and 3 showed significant cytotoxicity against human ECA-109.

Abstract:Twelve known compounds were isolated from the whole plant of Incarvillea delavayi.Based on MS and NMR analysis,these compounds were determined as tecomine(1),epidihydrotecomanine(2),2,6-dimethyl-6-hydroxy-2-heptene-4-one(3),marine B(4),(3R,5S)-3-methyl-cyclopentyl pyridine-5-ol(5),Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate(6),cleroindicin B(7),3,4,5-trimethoxy-benzoic acid methyl ester(8),2-(4-ethoxy-phenyl)-ethanol(9),2,3-dihydro-benzofuran-6-ol(10),β-sitoserone(11) and β-acetyloleanolic acid(12).Among them,compounds 1-3,5-6,8-12 were isolated from the genus Incarvillea for the first time,and all compounds were isolated from the species for the first time.

Abstract:Two new triterpenoid saponins, incarvillosides A (1) and B (2), and two new monoterpenoid glycosides, incarvillosides C (3) and D (4), were isolated from the high-polarity fraction of the whole plant of Incarvillea delavayi. By means of spectroscopic data and chemical degradation, the structures were established as (3beta,21beta)-3,19,21,23-tetrahydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid 28-O-beta-d-glucopyranoside (1), (2beta,3beta,19alpha)-2,3,19,23-tetrahydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid 28-O-beta-d-glucopyranoside (2), (2S,6R)-2,6-dimethyl-1,8-octanediol 1-O-beta-d-glucopyranoside (3), and (2S,6R)-2,6-dimethyl-1,8-octanediol 8-O-beta-d-glucopyranoside (4).

Abstract:Diincarvilones A-D (1-4), incarvilone A (5), and a known compound, argutosine B (6), were isolated from Incarvillea arguia. The structures, including the absolute configurations of the new compounds, were determined by NMR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, CD spectroscopy, and a variety of computational methods. The biological properties of these substances, including effects on intracellular Ca2+ influx, nitric oxide (NO) production, and human cancer cells, were evaluated. The results showed that at the concentration of 10 mu M (in HBSS buffer) diincarvilones A and B cause a persistent increase in cytoplasmic calcium levels in A549 cells.

Abstract:To investigate the chemical constituents from Incarvillea delavayi Bureau et Franchet, a new sesquiterpene, named delavayol, together with three known ones, was isolated by column chromatography. Spectroscopic and chemical evidence revealed the structures to be 8,9-dihydroxy-1(10)-eremophiliene-11,12-diol (1), oleanolic acid (2), myrianthic acid (3), and sitoindoside I (4). Compounds 3 and 4 were isolated from the genus Incarvillea for the first time.

Abstract:Objective: To study the chemical constituents of Incarvillea mairei var.granditlora(Wehrhahn) Grierson.Methods:Isolation and purification were carried out by macroporous absorption resin and silica gel column chromatography,and twelve compounds were identified by spectral and chemical methods.Results:Twelve compounds were obtained from alcohol extract and were determined as o-hydroxy benzoic acid,palmitic acid,hexacosanoic acid,β-sitosterol,daucosterol,oleanolic acid,ursolic acid,quercetin,vincetoxicoside B,p-hdroxy benzoic acid、3-mthoxy 4-hydroxy-benzoic acid,sgmasterol.Conclusion:All of 12 compounds were obtained from the plant for the first time.

Abstract:Two new securinega-type alkaloids and four known ones were isolated from the twigs and leaves of Flueggea virosa. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by means of spectroscopic methods (UV, IR, HR-ESI-MS, and 1D- and 2D-NMR), and the absolute configurations were assigned by CD spectra. The structures of the known compounds were identified by comparison of their physical and spectroscopic data with those reported in the literature.
