Abstract:The large population and urban mixed traffic flow have caused many urban traffic problems in China. This paper considers the basic factors that influence the choice behaviors of individual travelers, and presents a system optimization model for urban mixed traffic networks using bi-level programming. The model uses the variational inequality method and increases optimization for an urban mixed traffic system and provides a powerful tool to improve city traffic situations. A case study to illustrate the applications of the model and its algorithm is also included in the paper.
