Abstract:Xenobiotics can influence the early developmental stage of aquatic organisms. Therefore, a experimentent with three exposure types (early cleavage exposure, 0hpf; gastrula exposure, 8hpf and 0hpf exposure but stop after 8 hours, 8h stop) were designed to investigate the toxicity and bioaccumulation of bisphenol A (BPA) in zebrafish (Danio rerio) embryo in different stages. The concentrations of BPA in zebrafish embryo at 0 hpf exposure appeared a linear relationship with the exposure concentrations (0,5.00,10.00,15.00mg/L) and exposure time (0,8,24,32,48,72h). Compared with 8 hpf exposure, zebrafish embryo exposed at 0 hpf exposure exhibited higher levels on bioaccumulation and toxicity of BPA. The embryo of 8h after fertilization (before gastrulae stage) was more sensitive on BPA. This result could be further provided by 8h stop exposures test.
