Abstract:In this paper, we consider the following linear Korteweg-de Vries-Benjamin Bona Mahony (KdV-BBM) equation on a finite interval. ⎧ ⎨ ⎩ ut -a2uxxt + ux + uxxx = 0, (x, t) E (0, L) x (0, oo), u(0, t) = u(L, t) = ux(L, t) = 0, t E (0, oo), u(x, 0) = u0(x), x E (0, L). We show the well-posedness by the semigroup theory. A set of critical length G is obtained, for which the system possesses conservative solutions. Then we prove the exponentially stability of the associated semigroup when L E6 G by the frequency domain method.

Abstract:Using exponential martingale formula, Lyapunov functional and some special inequalities, a sufficient condition is obtained to ensure the stability of the strong solutions for stochastic functional differential equations with Markovian jumping parameters in Hilbert space. This result is an improvement and extension of existing results. An example is studied to illustrate the theory.

Abstract:Positive results are derived concerning the long time dynamics of numerical simulations of stochastic differential equation systems with Markovian switching. Euler–Maruyama discretizations are shown to capture almost sure and moment exponential stability for all sufficiently small timesteps under appropriate conditions.

Abstract:The aim of the present paper is twofold:We carry on with developing an abstract method for deriving decay estimates on the semigroup associated to non-symmetric operators in Banach spaces as introduced in [10]. We extend the method so as to consider the shrinkage of the functional space. Roughly speaking, we consider a class of operators written as a dissipative part plus a mild perturbation, and we prove that if the associated semigroup satisfies a decay estimate in some reference space then it satisfies the same decay estimate in another—smaller or larger—Banach space under the condition that a certain iterate of the “mild perturbation” part of the operator combined with the dissipative part of the semigroup maps the larger space to the smaller space in a bounded way. The cornerstone of our approach is a factorization argument, reminiscent of the Dyson series.We apply this method to the kinetic Fokker-Planck equation when the spatial domain is either the torus with periodic boundary conditions, or the whole space with a confinement potential. We then obtain spectral gap estimates for the associated semigroup for various metrics, including Lebesgue norms, negative Sobolev norms, and the Monge-Kantorovich-Wasserstein distance W1.

Abstract:In this article, we present the almost sure asymptotic stability and a general rate of decay for solutions to stochastic differential equations (SDEs) with Markov switching. By establishing a suitable Lyapunov function and using an exponential Martingale inequality and the Borel-Cantelli theorem, we give sufficient conditions for the asymptotic stability. Also, we obtain sufficient conditions for the construction of two kinds of Lyapunov functions. Finally give two examples to illustrate the validity of our results. Abstract:We prove an exponential stability result for the small solutions of the Schrödinger–Poisson equation on the circle without exterior parameters in Gevrey class. More precisely we prove that for most of the initial data of Gevrey-norm smaller than small enough, the solution of the Schrödinger–Poisson equation remains smaller than for time of order . We stress out that this is the optimal time expected for PDEs as conjectured by Jean Bourgain in [18].

Abstract:The exponential stability of nonlinear Ito differential systems with Markovian switching is studied. According to the theory of stability of stochastic systems and Ito differential formula, by choosing proper stochastic Lyapunov function, applying generalized Ito formula, some sufficient conditions of exponential stability of such system was obtained, which improved existed results, with less conversations.

Abstract:Stability of numerical solutions to stochastic differential equations (SDEs) has received an increasing attention from researchers in applied mathematics and engineering areas, but there has been so far little work on the stability analysis of numerical solutions to highly nonlinear stochastic functional differential equations (SFDEs). The aim of this paper is to study the almost sure exponential stability of the backward Euler scheme for highly nonlinear SFDEs. Firstly, a stability criterion is established for the almost sure exponential stability of the underlying nonlinear SFDE under an extended polynomial growth condition, the global existence of the solutions of the underlying equation is simultaneously shown with a new technique, the Fatou’s Lemma. Secondly, the almost sure exponential stability of the backward Euler scheme is investigated by contrast. The stability criterion shows that the numerical scheme preserves the almost sure exponential stability of the analytic solution under the same growth condition, which improves some related result in literature as a corollary by way. To describe the scheme conveniently, a concept, the interpolation segment, is formally proposed in the paper, which provides a way for constructing a discretized approximation to a continuous function applied in the scheme. To achieve the required results, the classical nonnegative semi-martingale convergence theorem is reformed to a practical version, namely the so called practical nonnegative semi-martingale boundedness lemma in the paper. At the end of the paper, a numerical example is proposed to illustrate the adaption of the growth condition assumed in the paper.

Abstract:The exponential stability of trivial solution and numerical solution for neutral stochastic functional differential equations (NSFDEs) with jumps is considered. The stability includes the almost sure exponential stability and the mean-square exponential stability. New conditions for jumps are proposed by means of the Borel measurable function to ensure stability. It is shown that if the drift coefficient satisfies the linear growth condition, the Euler-Maruyama method can reproduce the corresponding exponential stability of the trivial solution. A numerical example is constructed to illustrate our theory.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the stability and numerical analysis of solution to highly nonlinear stochastic differential equations with jumps. By the Itô formula, stochastic inequality and semi-martingale convergence theorem, we study the asymptotic stability in the pth moment and almost sure exponential stability of solutions under the local Lipschitz condition and nonlinear growth condition. On the other hand, we also show the convergence in probability of numerical schemes under nonlinear growth condition. Finally, an example is provided to illustrate the theory.

Abstract:For autonomous stochastic differential equations (SDEs), it has been shown that the Euler-Maruyama (EM) method produces almost sure exponential stability and moment exponential stability of SDEs under some conditions which include the linear growth condition. In this work, we extend these results to non-autonomous SDEs, and prove that the exact solution is almost sure exponential stability and moment exponential stability under the local linear growth condition which is weaker than the linear growth condition. It is shown that the EM method maintains corresponding stability. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of this result.
Stability of the numerical scheme for stochastic McKean-Vlasov equations

Abstract:This paper studies the infinite-time stability of the numerical scheme for stochastic McKean-Vlasov equations (SMVEs) via stochastic particle method. The long-time propagation of chaos in mean-square sense is obtained, with which the almost sure propagation in infinite horizon is proved by exploiting the Chebyshev inequality and the Borel-Cantelli lemma. Then the mean-square and almost sure exponential stabilities of the Euler-Maruyama scheme associated with the corresponding interacting particle system are shown through an ingenious manipulation of empirical measure. Combining the assertions enables the numerical solutions to reproduce the stabilities of the original SMVEs. The examples are demonstrated to reveal the importance of this study.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to studying the Sobolev-type stochastic differential equations with Lévy noise and mixed fractional Brownian motion. Applying a method (principle) of comparability of functions by character of Shcherbakov recurrence, it characters at least one (or exactly one) solution with the same properties as the coefficients of the equation. We establish the existence of Poisson stable solutions for the Sobolev-type equation, which includes periodic solutions, quasi-periodic solutions, almost periodic solutions, almost automorphic solutions, etc. We also obtain the global asymptotical stability of bounded Poisson stable solutions and present an example to illustrate our theoretical results.
