Distribution of CYP3A Activity in School-age Volunteers of the Han Nationality

Abstract:OBJECTIVE: To observe the distribution of CYP3A activity in the healthy school children. METHODS: The hydrocortisone probe was used to determine the CYP3A activity. RESULTS: Gaussian distribution was shown after the natural logarithm transformation was applied. The mean value of CYP3A activity was (0.87 ± 1.54), while (0.93 ± 1.61) in the males and (0.87 ± 1.56) in the females. CONCLUSION: CYP3A activity varies with the age, and no significant differences were observed with sex.
