Main Factors Affecting Solid Loss during the Flotation of Mixed Office Waste Pulp

Abstract:The morphologies of fibers and ink particles of the deinking pulp of mixed office waste paper before and after flotation process were investigated. The relationship between foam stability and fiber entrainment was also studied. The results showed that ink particles of laser-printed paper were hard to be detached, which tended to cause fiber entrainment. Foam stability was affected not only by the property and dosage of deinking agents but also by the presence of fillers.
