Abstract:In this paper, some nonexistence, existence and multiplicity of positive solutions are established for a class of singular boundary value problem. The authors also obtain the relation between the existence of the solutions and the parameter $\lambda$. The arguments are based upon the fixed point index theory and the upper and lower solutions method.

Abstract:A fixed point theorem is used to study a singular second order three-point boundary value problem. The problem is more general. Combining the method of constructing Green functions with operators defined piecewise, the existence result of positive solutions to a singular second order three-point boundary value problem is established. The nonlinearity can be allowed to change sign.

Abstract:In this paper, we discuss the existence, nonexistence, and multiplicity of positive solutions for a class of singular eigenvalue problems. Some of our theorems are new, while others extend earlier results obtained by Zhang and Kong [12]. The interesting point is that the authors obtain the relation between the existence of solutions and the parameter lambda. The arguments are based on the fixed point index theory and the upper and lower solutions method.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the existence of positive solutions for singular elliptic equations with mixed Dirichlet-Neumann boundary conditions involving Sobolev-Hardy critical exponents and Hardy terms by using the concentration compactness principle, the strong maximum principle and the Mountain Pass lemma. We also prove, under complementary conditions, that there is no nontrivial solution if the domain is star-shaped with respect to the origin.

Abstract:This paper deals with a class of singular boundary value problems of differential equations on infinite time scale. An existence theorem of positive solutions is established by using the Schauder fixed point theorem and perturbation and operator approximation method, which resolves the singularity successfully and differs from those of some papers. In the end of the paper, an example is given to illustrate our main result.

Abstract:In this paper we establish the existence and the uniqueness of positive solutions for Dirichlet boundary value problems of nonlinear elliptic equations with singularity. We obtain the existence and the uniqueness by using the mixed monotone method in the cone theory. Moreover, we give an iterative method of constructing the solution. The rate of convergence of the iterative sequence is analyzed.

Abstract:We study the boundary value problem for a class of singular fractional differential equations.We first derive the Green's function for the boundary value problem and show that Green's function satisfies some properties.Second,by using nonlinear alternative of Leray-Schauder type and Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem in a cone,some sufficient conditions of existence of at least one positive solution are established.
