Abstract:Usually complicated unitary operators in exponential form are hard to handle and the transformation stated by them are not physically clear until these operators are disentangled. By virtue of the technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of operators, we can disentangle some complicated unitary operators and then reveal their physical role. Many new unitary operators can be found after new quantum mechanical representations are constructed by virtue of the IWOP technique. The unitary operators for permutation, Hilbert transform, Householder transform, and Hardmad transform can also be introduced. The IWOP technique thus bridges this mathematical gap between classical mechanics and quantum mechanics and provides a new route connecting classical transformations to quantum mechanical unitary operators. In this way, the symbolic method exhibits further beauty and elegance and can be increasingly used for developing various fields of quantum physics.

Abstract:Applying the technique of integration within ordered product (IWOP) to a type of ket-bra operators which are in integral form in coordinate representation, we derive unitary normally ordered quantum-mechanical images of real symmetric transformations in classical coordinate space, which provide us with a convenient approach to constructing the corresponding coherent states. Some examples showing the physical applications of this kind of unitary images are presented.

Abstract:By introducing the s-parameterized generalized Wigner operator into phase-space quantum mechanics we invent the technique of integration within s-ordered product of operators (which considers normal ordered, antinormally ordered and Weyl ordered product of operators as its special cases). The s-ordered operator expansion formula of density operators is derived, and the s-parameterized quantization scheme is thus completely established.

Abstract:With the help of technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of operators we find new integration transformation connecting the coherent state and the biparticle entangled state. We also point out that under this kind of integration transformation the direct product of two single-variable Hermite polynomials behaves quite different from the two-variable Hermite polynomials, in this way we show that the latter is intrinsic to the phase space of quantum entanglement. As a byproduct, some operator identities for theoretical quantum optics can also be neatly expressed in terms of the two-variable Hermite polynomials.

Abstract:By virtue of the technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of operators and the bipartite entangled state representation, we derive some new identities about operator Hermite polynomials in both the single- and two-variable cases. We also find a binomial-like theorem between the single-variable Hermite polynomials and the two-variable Hermite polynomials. Application of these identities in deriving new integration formulas, but without really doing the integration in the usual sense, is demonstrated.

Abstract:Based on the generalized Weyl quantization scheme, which relies on the generalized Wigner operator W k ( p, q) with a real k parameter and can unify the P- Q, Q- P, and Weyl ordering of operators in k = 1, 1, 0, respectively, we find the mutual transformations between ffi ( p P) ffi ( q Q), ffi ( q Q) ffi ( p P), and W k ( p, q), which are, respectively, the integration kernels of the P- Q, Q- P, and generalized Weyl quantization schemes. The mutual transformations provide us with a new approach to deriving the Wigner function of quantum states. The P and Q ordered forms of W k ( p, q) are also derived, which helps us to put the operators into their P and Q ordering, respectively.

Abstract:Using the Weyl ordering of operators expansion formula (Hong-Yi Fan, J. Phys. A 25 (1992) 3443) this paper finds a kind of two-fold integration transformation about the Wigner operator Δ (q',p') (q-number transform) in phase space quantum mechanics, and its inverse where Q, P are the coordinate and momentum operators, respectively. We apply it to study mutual converting formulae among Q–P ordering, P–Q ordering and Weyl ordering of operators. In this way, the contents of phase space quantum mechanics can be enriched. The formula of the Weyl ordering of operators expansion and the technique of integration within the Weyl ordered product of operators are used in this discussion.

Abstract:Based on the two mutually conjugate entangled state representations vertical bar xi > and vertical bar eta >, we propose an integration transformation in xi - eta phase space integral integral d(2)xi d(2)eta/pi(2)e((xi-mu)(eta*-nu*)-(eta-nu)(xi*-mu*)) F(xi, eta) equivalent to D(mu, nu), and its inverse transformation, which possesses some well-behaved transformation properties, such as being invertible and the Parseval theorem. This integral transformation is a convolution, where one of the factors is fixed as a special normalized exponential function. We generalize this transformation to a quantum mechanical case and apply it to studying the Weyl ordering of bipartite operators, regarding to (Q(1) - Q(2)) <-> (P(1) - P(2)) ordered and simultaneously (P(1) + P(2)) <-> (Q(1) + Q(2)) ordered operators.

Abstract:For the case of fermions, permutation operators in Hilbert space are derived in terms of the fermion coherent state and the technique of integration within ordered products with the integration variables being Grassmann numbers.
