Abstract:A Shell-model-Like Approach (SLAP) is suggested for the pairing correlations within the relativistic mean field (RMF) theory. With the TMA interaction, the ground state properties and low-lying excited states for Ne isotopes are obtained and compared with the data available and BCS approximation. With SLAP for pairing, the blocking effect of odd nucleon can be treated consistently.

Abstract:A Shell-model-like approach suggested to treat the pairing correlations in relativistic mean field theory is introduced, in which the occupancies thus obtained have been iterated back into the densities. The formalism and numerical techniques are given in detail. As examples, the ground state properties and low-lying excited states for Ne isotopes are studied. The results thus obtained are compared with the data available. The binding energies, the odd–even staggering, as well as the tendency for the change of the shapes in Ne isotopes are correctly reproduced.

Abstract:Nuclear properties of stannum isotopes have been studied by the self-consistent shell-model-like approach in the framework Relativistic Mean Field theory, i.e., RMF+SLAP, and compared with the results from the non self-consistent RMF+SLAP* in which the influence of the pairing correlations on the mean field has been neglected. It is shown that the RMF+SLAP method can reproduce correctly the change of the quadrupole deformation as a function of pairing strength, the binding energy, one- and two-neutron separation energies and quadrupole deformation of stannum isotopes. The importance in treating the pairing correlations and block effect correctly has been emphasized.

Abstract:The ground states properties of Ne-isotopes were calculated with Relativistic mean field theory.Compared with the experimental datas,its discovered that the nucleus properties chang regularly with the changes of neutron number when the proton number is even.The results proved indirectly that even nucleus has no direct influenced on another kind of nucleus.Besides,the applicability of Relativistic mean field theory in this region was tested.

Abstract:The clustering phenomenon in light stable nuclei is studied within the shell-model-like approach in relativistic mean field theory. The result reproduces a-clustering phenomenon in light stable nuclei by calculating Be-8, C-12, O-16, Ne-20. Comparison of our result with RMF calculation indicates that the pairing correlation could change the properties of clear ground state and lead to different alpha-clustering structure.

Abstract:In the framework of RMF theory, we study gap parameters for the pairing energy in the chain of 0-isotopes. By examining the binding energies and the quadrupole deformations of nuclei, we find that the gap parameters, An and Delta(p), can simply be fixed to a value of 0.5 in this mass range, in accordance with satisfactory descriptions.

Abstract:The relativistic mean-field (RMF) theory is used to calculate the properties of A = 7-9 drip-line nuclei Li-7, Be-7;9, B-8;9, and C-9. sytematic deviations between experimental and theoretical binding energies are found. Possible reasons of these systematic deviations are discussed in terms of pairing energy. The root-mean-square (rms) radii of matter distributions for these nuclei agree with the experimental data quite well. The one-proton halo structure in B-8 is reproduced well, and the two-proton halo in C-9 is predicted. The calculations show that the RMF theory is valid in studying the properties of light drip-line nuclei.

Abstract:We calculated the binding energy and the quadrupole deformation factor of odd-proton Nb-isotopes respectively in relativistic mean field theory,using three group parameters NL-SH,NL-3,NL-Z.We found an optimal group parameter in this region. Furthermore, we calculated the binding energy of other elements which have not yet been measured by experiment, and predicted their stability.

Abstract:The nucleon-nucleon pairing forces were studied under the relativistic mean-field theory with the paring corrections by BCS approximation.The coupled equations of motion were solved by self-consistency with the interaction parameter set NL3.The gap parameters were fixed by reproducing ground state properties of 11950Sn,14058Ce,and 17871Lu.The properties of two medium isotope chains Ca and K and three heavy isotope chains Ce,Pr and Nd were investigated.The results indicated that the strength of the pairing forces Gn and Gp have a strong shell effects for the medium(N=20 and 28) and heavy nuclei(N=82) near the β stability line,thus a new method to search new magic numbers was provided.

Abstract:The ground state properties of Cd, Sn and Te isotopes are investigated in the framework of the Skyrme Hartree-Fock theory using the normal force parameters SKI2 plus density-dependent pairing correlations and new force parameters SKI4 which has a generalized spin-orbit term [P. G. Reinhard and H. Flocard, Nucl. Phys. A 584 (1995) 467]. The theoretical results agree well with experimental data of binding energies and matter root-mean-square radii of charge distributions. Both parameter sets are also successful in reproducing the experimental law of isotope shifts in Cd and Sn elements. The behavior of isotope shifts in Te elements is predicted. We have made detailed comparison and discussion on the numerical results and given an explanation for the cause of above success.

Abstract:Abstract Sulfur-bearing species are frequently used to investigate the physical structure of star-forming regions in the interstellar medium, yet the underlying sulfur chemistry in these regions remains poorly understood. Hence, further study of S-bearing species is of fundamental importance as it can help us to imporve our udnerstanding of physical evolution of star-forming regions. We present observations of C2S and C3S in L1544 acquired with the Nanshan-26 meter radio telescope (NSRT) along with simulations of their chemical behavior of the using a one-dimensional physical model. The simulated results reveal significant radial variations in the column densities of C2S and C3S. Additionally, we found that the column densities of both C2S and C3S are sensitive to the cosmic ray ionization rate at several radial positions, while our chosen range of C/O values has a comparatively minimal impact in L1544.

Abstract:The ground state properties of deformed nuclei of C isotope are investigated by the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock theory with new force parameters SK14 of Reinhard and Flocard [Nucl. Phys. A 584 (1995) 467]. Calculations show that the deformed-Skyrme-Hartree-Fock theory with above force parameters provides a good description on the binding energy, the various radii and deformation parameters of C isotope. The figure of the evolution of deformation for whole C isotope chain is plotted. A detailed discussion on numerical results is provided in the paper.

Abstract:The structure of carbon isotopes from the proton-drip-line nucleus 9C to the neutron-drip-line nucleus 22C has been systematically studied in the framework of the nonlinear relativistic mean-field theory with inclusion of deformations. Calculations show that the relativistic mean-field theory provides a reasonably good description of experimental binding energies and root-mean-square radii. The spin and parity of the ground state in 15,17,19C are correctly predicted to be (12)+, (32)+ and (12)+, respectively. The effect of deformations on the structure of exotic nuclei is discussed and a consistent explanation on the one-neutron halo in 19C is given.

Abstract:It is known that elastic magnetic electron scattering can be used to study the magnetic properties of nuc-lei and determine the outermost-shell single-particle orbitals.In this study,the magnetic form factors |FM(q)|2 of odd-A nuclei calculated with relativistic and non-relativistic models are systematically compared.We use the relativ-istic mean-field (RMF) and Skyrme Hartree-Fock (SHF) models to generate single-particle wave functions and cal-culate the |FM(q)|2 values of selected nuclei under relativistic and non-relativistic frameworks,respectively.Geo-metric factors are introduced through the spherical limit method to consider the influences of deformation,which im-proves the agreement between the theoretical results and experimental data.It is shown that both the models have the capability to describe the magnetic form factors in the spherical and deformed cases,and the discrepancies in|FM(q)|2 reflect the differences in the descriptions of the single-particle orbital between the two models.

Abstract:We develop a relativistic mean field (RMF) description of deformed nuclei with pairing correlations in the BCS approximation. The treatment of the pairing correlations for nuclei whose Fermi surfaces are close to the threshold of unbound states needs special attention. With this in mind, we use a delta function interaction for the pairing interaction to pick up those states whose wave functions are concentrated in the nuclear region and employ the standard BCS approximation for the single-particle states obtained from the RMF theory with deformation. We apply the RMF + BCS method to the Zr isotopes and obtain a good description of the binding energies and the nuclear radii of nuclei from the proton drip line to the neutron drip line.

Abstract:Effective Lagrangians suitable for a relativistic Hartree-Fock description of nuclear systems are presented. They include the 4 effective mesons $\sigma, \omega, \rho$ and $\pi$ with density-dependent meson-nucleon couplings. The criteria for determining the model parameters are the reproduction of the binding energies in a number of selected nuclei, and the bulk properties of nuclear matter (saturation point, compression modulus, symmetry energy). An excellent description of nuclear binding energies and radii is achieved for a range of nuclei encompassing light and heavy systems. The predictions of the present approach compare favorably with those of existing relativistic mean field models, with the advantage of incorporating the effects of pion-nucleon coupling.

Abstract:Single-particle resonant states in Ca isotopes are studied systematically by real stabilization method (RSM) in coordinate space within the framework of the self-consistent relativistic mean field (RMF) theory. Phase shifts are obtained by scattering phase shift method. The resonant parameters (the energies, widths) are extracted by fitting energy and phase shift. Wave functions of resonances are obtained by matching conditions of bound and scattering states. Taking 60 Ca as an example, results are compared with corresponding results obtained from the analytic continuation in the coupling constant approach and the scattering phase shift method. Satisfied agreements are found. The rules of resonant parameters changing in Ca isotopes are also analyzed.

Abstract:The configuration interaction relativistic Hartree-Fock (CI-RHF) model is developed in this work. Compared to the conventional configuration interaction shell model calculations, the CI-RHF model can be applied to study the structural properties of a wide range of nuclei without readjusting any parameters, because the effective Hamiltonian for different model space can be deduced consistently from a universal density-dependent Lagrangian based on the Hartree-Fock single-particle basis. The convergence of intermediate-state excitations has been examined in evaluating the effective interactions, and the core-polarization effects are illustrated, by using $^{18}$O as an example. Employing the CI-RHF model, both the bulk properties and low-lying spectra of neon isotopes in the $sd$ shell have been well reproduced without introducing additional parameters besides those well-defined in the phenomenological Lagrangian. Moreover, the study of the isotopic evolution of charge radii and low-lying spectra highlights the shell closure at $N=14$ for neon isotopes.
