Abstract:The ground state properties of the four isotope chains, Ni-28, Xe-54, (78)pt, Pu-94 are studied in the relativistic mean-field theory by using two sets of parameters, NL-3 and NL-Z. We find that the binding energies of odd-A nuclei are even closer to the corresponding experimental results, compared with those of the even-even nuclei. Our results indicate that it is reliable to neglect the space component of the vector meson fields in calculating binding energies of odd-A nuclei in the relativistic mean-field theory.

Abstract:The binding energy differences of mirror nuclei with A=15,17,27,39, and 41 are calculated using a time-odd triaxial relativistic mean field approach with PK1. Compared with the axially deformed RMF calculations with PK1, NL3, and NLSH, the discrepancy between the calculated and experimental values, i.e., Okamoto-Nolen-Schiffer (ONS) anomaly, is systematically reduced by the appropriate treatment of the gamma deformation degree of freedom, center-of-mass motion, and core polarization effect.

Abstract:This paper calculates the ground state properties of Oxygen's isotopes and their mirror-nuclei with relativistic mean field theory.In comparasion the experiment data,it is discovered that the nucleus properties regularly change with the change of neutron(proten) numbers when the proton(neutron) number is a magic number.The results prove indirectly that the nucleus with a magic number has no direct influence over another kind of nucleus.At the same time,the applicability of relativistic mean field theory in this region is also verified in this paper.

Abstract:The time-odd triaxial relativistic mean field approach is developed and applied to the investigation of the ground-state properties of light odd-mass nuclei near the double-closed shells. The nuclear magnetic moments including the isoscalar and isovector ones are calculated, and good agreement with Schmidt values is obtained. Taking F-17 as an example, the splitting of the single-particle levels (around 0.7 MeV near the Fermi level), the nuclear current, the core polarizations, and the nuclear magnetic potential, i.e., the spatial part of the vector potential due to the violation of the time reversal invariance, are investigated in detail.

Abstract:Halo structures of some light mirror nuclei are investigated with the relativistic mean field (RMF) theory. The calculations show that the dispersion of the valence proton is larger than that of the valence neutron in its mirror nucleus, the difference between the root-mean-square (rms) radius of the valence nucleon in each pair of mirror nuclei becomes smaller with the increase of the mass number A, and all the ratios of the rms radius of the valence nucleon to that of the matter in each pair of mirror nuclei decrease almost linearly with the increase of the mass number A..

Abstract:The magnetic moments of nuclei near double closed-shell with A=133, 207,209 are calculated within spherical and triaxial deformed relativistic mean field theory. The relativistic effect and core polarization effect on nuclear magnetic moment have been examined. The observed large discrepancy between Schmidt values and experimental data for Sb-133 and Bi-209 can be reduced significantly with the consideration of time-odd magnetic potential in triaxial deformed RMF theory.

Abstract:Ground state properties of recently discovered Ddd-A nuclei near the particle-drip-line have been investigated in the relativistic mean-field model. Special emphasis is placed on the effect of the spatial component of vector meson fields on ground state properties which is due to breaking of time reversal invariance for odd-A nuclei. Calculations show that its contribution to binding energies, radii and single particle energies is small but cannot be neglected completely for some drip-line nuclei because the last nucleon in them is very weakly bound. Calculated binding energies are in reasonably good agreement with present experimental data and estimated values in mass tables. The structure of newly discovered nuclei is also discussed.

Abstract:The configuration-fixed constrained triaxial relativistic mean-field approach is extended by including time-odd fields and applied to the study of the candidate multiple chiral doublets (M chi D) nucleus Rh-106. The energy contribution from time-odd fields and microscopical evaluation of center-of-mass correction as well as the modification of triaxial deformation parameters beta,gamma due to the time-odd fields are investigated. The contributions of the time-odd fields to the total energy are 0.1-0.3 MeV, and they modify slightly the beta,gamma values. However, the previously predicted multiple chiral doublets still exist..

Abstract:The properties of three pairs of mirror nuclei 13N- 13C, 15N- 15O and 21Na- 21Ne (these mirror nuclei are all made of a good inert core plus an unpaired valence nucleon) are investigated by using the nonlinear relativistic mean-field (RMF) theory. It is found that the calculated binding energies with two different parameter sets are very close to the experimental ones for both the ground states and the excited states except for the large deformed nuclei. The calculations show that the 2s1/2 excited states of 15N and of 21Na are both weakly bound with a proton halo and a proton skin (or a pigmy proton skin), respectively. In addition, the 1d5/2 excited state of 13C and the 2s1/2 excited state of 15O are also weakly bound with a neutron skin, respectively. The ratio of the valence nucleon radius to matter radius is deduced and it can be regarded as an additional criterion for the existence of exotic structure. The unbound 2s1/2 and 1d5/2 excited states of 13N are also discussed.

Abstract:We calculate the binding energies of Ni, Cu, Xe, Cs, Pt, Au, Np, Pu isotope chains using two interaction parameter sets NL-3 and NL-Z, and compared the relative errors of the even-even nuclei with those of odd-even nuclei and odd-odd nuclei. We find that the errors of binding energy of odd-even and odd-odd nuclei are not bigger than the one of even-even nuclei. The result shows that comparing with even-even nuclei, there is no systematic error and approximation in the calculations of the binding energy of odd-even and odd-odd nuclei with relativistic mean-field theory. In addition, the result is explained theoretically.

Abstract:Motivated by a recent high-energy electron and $^{3}\mathrm{H}$ and $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ nuclei scattering experiment at Jefferson Lab [S. Li et al., Nature (London) 609, 41 (2022)], the short-range correlations (SRCs) between nucleon pairs for three-nucleon systems are microscopically studied using a realistic $NN$ two-body interaction and a two-Gaussian type $NNN$ three-body interaction. The wave functions of both $^{3}\mathrm{H}$ and $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ are obtained by solving three-body Schr\"odinger equations using the Gaussian expansion method (GEM). The differences of one-nucleon and nucleon-nucleon momentum distributions between $^{3}\mathrm{H}$ and $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ are analyzed in detail. The results show that the percentages of $pn$-SRC pairs are significantly enhanced compared with those of $nn(pp)$-SRC ones in $^{3}\mathrm{H}$ and $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ nuclei, which is consistent with the experimental findings.

Abstract:We have studied the ground state properties of even - even nuclei with proton number Z = 106 - 114 and neutron number N = 160 - 170 in the framework of the nonlinear relativistic mean-field theory. Calculations show that there are prolate deformations in these nuclei and this supports a deformed shape for nuclei near N = 162 predicted by macroscopic models. The calculated binding energies and -decay energies agree very well with those from mass models.

Abstract:The ground-state properties of odd-Z superheavy nuclei (Z=117 and Z=119) have been systematically studied in the framework of the relativistic mean-field model (RMF). The calculated binding energy, alpha decay energy, quadrupole deformation are compared with those from Skyrme-Hartree-Fock model (SHF). It is found that the binding energies given by two models agree well, while the quadrupole deformations show a certain degree of model dependence.

Abstract:Using the relativistic point-coupling model with the density functional PC-PK1, the magnetic moments of the nuclei Pb-207, Pb-209, Tl-207, and Bi-209 with a jj closed-shell core Pb-208 are studied on the basis of relativistic mean field theory. The corresponding time-odd fields, the one-pion exchange currents, and the first- and second-order corrections are taken into account. The present relativistic calculations are in reasonable agreement with the data. The relative deviation between theory and experiment for these four nuclei is 6.1% for the relativistic calculations and somewhat smaller than the value of 13.2% found in earlier nonrelativistic investigations. It turns out that the pion meson is important for the description of magnetic moments, first by means of one-pion exchange currents and second by the residual interaction provided by the pion exchange.

Abstract:We study theoretically the ground state properties of N=8, N=20, and N=40 neutron-rich isotones using the nonlinear relativistic mean-field theory. It is found that the nonlinear relativistic mean-field theory can very satisfactorily reproduce the ground state properties of the above nuclei, even near the neutron drip line. Some relevant phenomena on nuclear structure have been discussed.

Abstract:The ground state properties of even-even Z = 114 nuclei have been investigated in the relativistic mean-field theory with inclusion of deformations. The calculated binding energies agree well with values from macroscopic mass models. Calculations show that there exists a spherical shell at N = 184, because the quadrupole deformation at N = 184 is zero. For nuclei near N = 162, there are small prolate deformations.

Abstract:The odd-even differences of nuclear masses are strongly influenced by mean-field and odd-nucleon blocking effects. When such effects are taken into account, the determination of the pairing interaction strength needs to be modified, resulting in larger pairing gaps.
