PROGRESS IN RESEARCH ON HIGH TEMPERATURE PIEZOELECTRIC CERAMICS

Abstract:The structure and properties of LiNbO3, tungsten-bronze family, bismuth layer-structured and perovskite-structured piezo-electric ceramics are reviewed. The recent progress on the newly reported perovskite solid solution system Bi(Me)O3–PbTiO3 is in-troduced. The factors influencing the Curie temperature of piezoelectric ceramics are summarized as well. Based on the relationship of the tolerance factor and the Curie temperature, new high-temperature piezoelectric solid solution systems are expected to be dis-covered in future work. Moreover by doping and optimizing the preparation process, the stability of the perovskite structure and the properties of the materials may be increased as the development of these materials continues.
