The Research on Self-lubrication and Wear-resisting Films of Powder Coatings

Abstract:Three solid lubricant films of powder coating,P(polyester resin)film,E(epoxy resin)film and P／E film,were studied on a M-2000 friction and wear test mechine to determine their tribological characteristics under a heavy pres—sure of 1 00 N and two difie,rent relative sliding speeds of 0．796 m／s and 0．()42 m／s at the contact．1ine．A comparison wasmade be．tween the powder coating films and a boned solid lubricant film(BMP)．The results indicate that all the three solidlubricant films show better friction characteristics than that of the BMP．The P film has perfect lubrication and anti—wearcharactristics at the speeds of 0．796 m／s．While the P／E film has better lubrication and anti-wear charactristies at thespeeds of 0．042 m／s．
