Abstract:Sincepervasive coordinationis one of the most important goals in sensor network evolution,integrating technology of wireless sensor network and traditional Internet is becoming the key problem that needs solving.In this paper,challenges of integrating technology are composed of three parts:Design principle,system constraint and application mode.We keep these three parts as the keynote of Integration.Status quo of integrating technology is introduced,such technologies as gateway-based approach,overlay approach and wireless mesh sensor network are all presented in detail with back groundings and main characteristics.We have made a comparison of different integrating technology based on above introduction,merits and shortcomings of different mechanisms are all analyzed in detail.Back grounding on GENI project of U.S.A National Science Fund,we make an introduction to wireless sensor network test-bed deployment in GENI and its new technology evolution trend.After that,according to technological characteristics of Integration(Synergy),we proposed six metrics to measure efficiency of different integration technology,and make comparison among different technologies based on these metrics.At the end of this paper,the future evolution of integrating technology is discussed.
