Abstract:A portable nuclear spectrometry system is of low power consumption,small size and low cost,and so is the MCA(multi-channel pulse amplitude analyzer).In this paper,we report a core controller of an MCA,which uses an on-chip system chip C8051F340 microprocessor.Results of the performance test,with the detection circuit,are given.C8051F340 is of high performance,and high performance MCA for a portable nuclear spectrometry system can be achieved by combining a C8051F340 with corresponding peripheral circuits and signal conditioning circuits.

Abstract:A front-end circuit with 16-channel 12-bit 100-kSps RC-hybrid successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to digital converter (ADC) for industrial monitoring application is presented. The front-end circuit can process a wide range input voltage as large as 10 V which is beyond the supply voltage, with the help of voltage divider preceding an analog multiplexer. A programmable gain amplifier (PGA) is used to convert different input voltage ranges into a same one. A RC hybrid digital-to analog converter (DAC) is employed in SAR ADC to avoid calibration requirement for the bridge capacitor which is usually needed for a split capacitor SAR ADC architecture. Serial peripheral interface (SPI) is integrated in the design for communication and configuration. The prototype circuit fabricated in a 0.18 um 3.3 V CMOS process shows the measured DNI, and IN1, within-0.821+0.68 LSB and-0.851+0.82 1,SR, respectively. The circuit consumes 2.04 mVV with a 3.3 V supply voltage. The whole chip occupies an area of 1.844 x 1.387 mm(2).
A Novel Data Processing Circuit in High-Speed Serial Communication

Abstract:A novel data processing circuit in high-speed serial communication has been demonstrated in this work. The circuit, including a serializer and a frequency divider, was developed to convert the transmission signals into the desired format. The chip design is based on TSMC 0.25μm mixed signal model, and semi-custom design methodology is used. Pre- and post-layout simulation results indicated that the speed of circuit has reached 480MHz. Moreover, the data are processed properly in agreement with USB2.0 specification.

Abstract:The multi-functional portable electronic experimental box is based on ARM7 LPC2148 32-bit microcontroller,integrating DDS digital phase synthesis signal generator AD9850,cooperating with computer's communication system and the sound card's signal collection system,and making use of a computer host process developed by Labview.After data collection,computer programs process and display the data to work as a virtual oscilloscope.The whole system and the circuit boards equipped with the common devices are placed in a small box,providing portable test environment.It brings convenience to the basic electronic experimental class presentation and students' independent experiments and has brought about a innovaton model of interactive practice in the teaching of electronic technology courses.

Abstract:A new kind of DSP based digital multi-channel analyzer has been developed at Tsinghua University. By introducing a twin-FIFO structure in the hardware design, information of both rising edge and baseline level of digital signals can be obtained, the DSP bandwidth can be saved and the system throughput can be improved. The MCA system performs digital processing of nuclear signals in a DSP processor, and accomplishes the system monitoring and spectrum data transfer through USB (or serial) port. Energy spectra of 137Cs γ-rays,, measured by the MCA system with an SPEAR CdZnTe detector provided by eV Corp. were given as an example.

Abstract:A new Multi-Channel Analyzer's Monitoring system based on ARM9 Embedded system is introduced in this paper. Some solutions to problem are also discussed during the procedure of design, installation and debugging on Linux system. The Monitoring system is developed by using MiniGUI and Linux software system API, with the functions of collecting, displaying and I/O data controlling 1024 channels datum. They are all realized in real time, with the merits of low cost, small size and portability. All these lay the foundation of developing homemade Digital & Portable nuclear spectrometers.

Abstract:For the disadvantages of traditional signal analyzer, such as singleness of interface, poor reliability, low real-time and so on, this paper proposes a multi-DSP signal analyzer based on M-LVDS network instrument bus. This system adapts an integrated mode of multi-functional module based on standard interface, and realizes non-host parallel communication by special bus design. This system accomplishes multi-interface management and improves the real-time performance, reliability and commonality greatly.

Abstract:To design a portable and low-power ECG analyzer with QRS detection function,we use C8051F040 to design a sampling module and transplant the QRS detection algorithm with μC/OS-Ⅱ into ARM microprocessor.The CPU usage of this algorithm is only 1%.The system has low-power and real-time analyzing characteristics.

Abstract:A design scheme of portable digital oscilloscope based on ATMEGA64 MUC was introduced.The oscilloscope used ATMEGA64MCU of company of ATMEL as main controller and the CPLD chip EPM3064Aas auxiliary controller to control the sample rate.The oscilloscope uses a resolution of 240×320TFT LCD display for reducing its size.In the power supply,compared with the traditional 220VAC power,the oscilloscope used 9to 12VDC power that can reduce the power consumption greatly.The tests showed that the oscilloscope has high reliability,simple structure,low costs,low power consumption and other characteristics,it has good market prospects.

Abstract:A type of integrated multiple-single-channel analyzer (IMSCA) is described. The IMSCA works with an input pulse of 2-20 pC, and it can be directly connected to a scintillation detector, which eliminates the need for a linear amplifier. It consists of 64 input ports, so 1–64 detectors can be set by users according to different requirements. Two energy regions for each input channel can be simultaneously analyzed. Another advantage of the IMSCA is that it integrates with a high-speed pulse signal acquisition card and transmits data to the computer through the network. The maximum pulse through-rate is 1.4 MHz, and linearity can reach 0.1%. This IMSCA has been successfully used in enrichment detecting of nuclear fuel rod.

Abstract:The implementation of embedded Linux based handy audio analyzer which aims at measuring the audio parameters of AM broadcasting transmitters used in MW band is introduced in this paper.The design process of both hardware and software of the analyzer as well as methods of measuring signal to noise ratio,frequency response and harmonic distortion is described in detail.The technique of using Qt-embedded to render frequency spectrum is also showed in this paper.To avoid flickering and save computational resource during the rendering phase,off-screen buffering is introduced.The design is proved feasible by the experimental results.

Abstract:This study introduces a portable multi-channel EEG signal acquisition system. The system is mainly composed of EEG electrode connector, signal conditioning circuit, EEG acquisition part, main control MCU and power supply part. The low-power EEG acquisition front-end ADS1299 and STM32 are used to form the signal acquisition and data communication part. The collected EEG signal can be transmitted to the PC for real-time display. After relevant tests, the system has small volume, low power consumption, high signal-to-noise ratio, and meets the requirements of portable wearable medical devices.

Abstract:A data acquisition and analysis instrument using ARM7TDMI embedded architecture is introduced.Implementation of virtual instruments based on embedded system is made possible by ARM7,which is much more powerful than MCU.Single channel 200kSps sampling,synchronous waveform display and two novel triggering modes catering to rotary machine vibration analysis are realized herein.Implementing uC/OS II as the operating system,the speed of connection with PC can reach as high as 1 Mbyteps via USB.

Abstract:With the continuous development of integrated circuit technology and digital processing technology, this article designed a portable low-power multifunction digital oscilloscope based on STM32F407ZGT6. The input signal can be processed through the signal conditioning circuit, and the ADC module carried by the main control chip STM32 is used to collect external signals, using a 3.5-inch TFT-LCD to display the processed signal waveform. The added touch screen makes the operation more convenient. The software ported the UCOS-II embedded operating system and the graphical support system UCGUI in embedded applications to form a complete real-time operating system. After actual testing, the oscilloscope has the characteristics of high real-time performance, low power consumption, stable and practical performance. And it has strong practical value and promotion value.
A Portable and Wireless Multi-Channel Acquisition System for Physiological Signal Measurements

Abstract:We propose a portable and wireless acquisition system to help consumers or users register important physiological signals. The acquisition system mainly consists of a portable device, a graphic user interface (GUI), and an application program for displaying the signals on a notebook (NB) computer or a smart device. Essential characteristics of the portable device include eight measuring channels, a powerful microcontroller unit, a lithium battery, Bluetooth 3.0 data transmission, and a built-in 2 GB flash memory. In addition, the signals that are measured can be displayed on a tablet, a smart phone, or a notebook computer concurrently. Additionally, the proposed system provides extra power supply sources of ±3 V for the usage of external circuits. On the other hand, consumers or users can design their own sensing circuits and combine them with this system to carry out ubiquitous physiological studies. Four major advantages in the proposed system are the capability of combining it with a NB computer or a smart phone to display the signals being measured in real time, the superior mobility due to its own independent power system, flash memory, and good expandability. Briefly, this acquisition system offers consumers or users a convenient and portable studying tool to measure dynamic vital signals of interest in psychological and physiological research fields.
