Abstract:In this paper, a cache mechanism for IP-SAN is designed; furthermore, it is implemented in TH-MSNS (Tsinghua-Mass Storage Network System). This cache mechanism adopts RAM as cache for IP-SAN and some read/write commands are executed in cache system directly. The synchronization module can write the data in cache system to disks at the proper time. Compared with IP-SAN without cache system, it can improve the storage performance of IP-SAN greatly.
