A Modified Adaptive Algorithm and Its Use for Speech Enhancement

Abstract:In this paper the relationships between conjugate gradient adaptive algorithm and the adaptive algorithm with cumulative error criterion are studied. Based upon the analysis, we propose a modified adaptive algorithm. The modified algorithm has better convergence properties and is numerically stable. Experiments showed that the modified algorithm can give better SNR improvement when used in speech enhancement based on adaptive interference cancellation.
