Abstract:A new kind of power compensator——capacitor link compensator (CLC) was proposed. It can be used in continuous reactive compensation and harmonic suppression, and the principles were described. The experimental data prove the analysis. The CLC was compared with advanced static var generator (ASVG), which shows different situations the CLC suits.
