Abstract:Given a real rectangular matrix A. In this paper the (T, S) splitting method of A = U - V such that R(U) = A T and N(U) = (A(inverted perpendicular)S(perpendicular to))(perpendicular to) for computing the generalized inverse A(T,S)((2)) is established. T,S in consideration of the rectangular systems Au = f, we show that the sequence of the iterations u((i+l)) = U(T,S)((1,2))Vu((i)) + U(T,S)((1,2))f converges to A(T,S)((2))f if and only if the spectral radius of (UT,SV)-V-(1,2) is less than unity. The characteristics of the solution A(T,S)((2))f are developed. We present convergent conditions of the iteration matrix (UT,SV)-V-(1,2), and generalize the results of Collatz and Marek and Szyld on monotone type iterations. gome criteria under regularity assumptions for comparing convergence rates of (U-i)(T,S)V-(1,2)(i), (i = 1, 2) are given, where A = U-1 - V-1 = U-2 - V-2 are (T,S) splittings of A.
