The Research of Diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease Based on the Coherence Analysis of EEG Signal

Abstract:After investigating the arithmetic of coherence for electroencephalograph (EEG), the arithmetic of coherence for EEG based on discrete sampling data is present here. The program was designed by using of C ++ language, and applied in clinic. The program for calculation coherence runs quickly and conveniently. The experimental facts indicate that there are apparently different coherences between Alzheimer's disease patients and the normal controls as such in the left-right frontals (F3-F4), left-right centrals (C3-C4), left-right parietals (P3-P4) and left-right temporals (T5-T6). It is suggested that methodology of coherence analysis of EEG data is a useful tool in diagnosing Alzheimer's disease.
