Improved wide range dual switch flyback DC/DC converters

Abstract:Disadvantage of high voltage stress on main switches is overcome in conventional dual switch flyback DC/DC converter. However, duty cycle of conventional dual switch flyback DC/DC converter cannot be more than 50%. This paper presents two wide range dual switch flyback DC/DC converters. Not only voltage stress of these two converters is lower than that of single switch flyback, but also duty cycle of these two converters can be more than 50%. So, these two proposed converters are recommended to high input voltage and wide range applications. A prototype of 100Vsimilar to400V input, 100W, 108kHz is built to verify the advantages.
