New Calculation Method of Crankshaft Fatigue Strength

Abstract:This paper compared the traditional calculation method with the MBS and FEA coupling calculation method on base of the calculation of fatigue safety coefficient of a diesel engine crankshaft. The calculation results indicate that the calculated results by MBS and FEA coupling calculation method agree with the practical ones. With the increase of computer resources, the new calculation method would replace the traditional calculation method for the precise calculation of crankshaft strength.
