Abstract:A series of 2-amino-7-methyl-5-oxo-4-aryl-4H, 5H-pyranopyran-3-carbonitriles were first synthesized by the reaction of each of the aromatic aldehydes with malononitrile and 4-hydroxyl-6-methyl-2-pyranone in acetic anhydride under ultrasonic irradiation. The yields were in the range of 72%~83%. The structures of the products were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR and elemental analysis. The structure of 4e was determined by X-ray analysis. The crystal was monoclinic with space group C2/c, a=2.149 17(7) nm, b=0.824 98(2) nm, c=1.79137(6)nm, a=90°, β=12.104(2)°, Y=90°, M(subscript r)=31472, V=2.942 54(16) nm^3, Z=8, D=1.421 kg/m^3, F(000)=1296, R=0.0495, wR=0.0878.
