Abstract:To improve the management of stockyard in shipyards, the research on the digital management model of the plate stockyard was done. The components of the plate stockyard and the plate storing regulations were analyzed, and both the static and the dynamic storing processes were introduced. The management model was created using computerized methods such as database and computer simulation. Based on the management model, the Stockyard Management Simulation Software was developed. The simulation results show that the management model is effective to describe the dynamic storing process and lots of data can be used in the stockyard management. The dynamic model is an effective tool to informationize the stockyard management and makes it more scientific.
