Abstract:In this paper, we study the existence of nonconstant symmetric solutions for a kind of p-Laplacian fourth-order differential equations with multi-point boundary value conditions. After translating the fourth-order nonlinear equation into a second-order system, we obtain the conditions for solvability of the given boundary value problem. An example is given to illustrate the result.

Abstract:In this paper we will use the degree theory to give an existence result to the boundary value problem of nonlinear perturbations of the scalar p-Laplacian with the multi-point boundary condition involving the Lebesgue-Stieltjes integral. Among the boundary conditions considered in this paper, we will find also the optimal bounds on the growth of the nonlinear perturbations in our existence result.

Abstract:In this paper we consider problems modeled by the following nonlocal fractional equation where s∈(0,1) is fixed, Ω is an open bounded subset of Rn, n>2s, with Lipschitz boundary, (−Δ)s is the fractional Laplace operator and μ is a real parameter.Under two different types of conditions on the functions a and f, by using a famous critical point theorem in the presence of splitting established by Brezis and Nirenberg, we obtain the existence of at least two nontrivial weak solutions for our problem.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the following multipoint boundary value problem with one-dimensional ϕ-Laplacian (ϕ(x′(t)))′+q(t)f(t,x(t),x′(t))=0,t∈(0,1),x(0)=∑i=1n−2αix(ξi),ϕ(x′(1))=∑i=1n−2βiϕ(x′(ξi)), where ϕ(⋅) is an odd and increasing homeomorphism, ξi∈(0,1) with 0<ξ1<ξ2<⋯<ξn−2<1, αi and βi are nonnegative constants and f(t,x(t),x′(t)) is continuous and allowed to change sign. By fixed point theorems, we obtain new results on the existence of at least three positive solutions of this boundary value problem, which includes and improves some related results in the relevant literature.

Abstract:Abstract We discuss Neumann and Robin problems driven by the -Laplacian with jumping nonlinearities. Using sub-sup solution method, Fucík spectrum, mountain pass theorem, degree theorem together with suitable truncation techniques, we show that the Neumann problem has infinitely many nonconstant solutions and the Robin problem has at least four nontrivial solutions. Furthermore, we study oscillating equations with Robin boundary and obtain infinitely many nontrivial solutions.

By introducing the Moore-Penrose generalized inverse matrix to construct projectors in Rn , which effectively relaxes conditions of the matrix in the boundary value conditions. Abstract:In this article, we study a class of boundary value problems with p-Laplacian. By using a “Green-like” functional and applying the fixed point index theory, we obtain eigenvalue criteria for the existence of positive solutions. Several explicit conditions are derived as consequences, and further results are established for the multiplicity and nonexistence of positive solutions. Extensions are also given to partial differential BVPs with p-Laplacian defined on annular domains.
