Personal Assistant for Automatically Highlighting of Web Content

Abstract:A personalized intelligent a gent system was developed to highlight words of interest to a particular user wh en he/she browses web pages. The browsed web pages are first classified into sev eral pre-defined categories to classify the page content. Each category is then described by a set of keywords that may be of interest to the user that were se lected statistically. These keywords are a personalized description of the categ ory for this user instead of a generalized description for all users. The agent can then highlight interesting keywords in web pages for fast browsing in a pers onalized way. Experiments show that users can be satisfied with the performance.
