Product modeling method and development in enterprise model

Abstract:The technology of product modeling is the basis of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies. In this paper, author put forward a product model structure that supports enterprise model considering workflow and enterprise model. The structure is constituted with 3 layers that are kernel layer, extended layer and interface layer. Product configuration model is in the kernel layer, and product design model, product process model, product manufacture model and product repair model are in the extended layer. The interface layer includes internal interface and external interface, which connect the product model with the other models in enterprise model or external applications. Beyond the model, we proposed an approach to product modeling, and based on this method developed the application.
