Abstract:In practice, the complexity and heavily constrained operation of real-world supply chains make the development of a suitable methodology for supply chain design improvement a challenging research task. The Genetic Algorithm and Petri-Net, as parts of the Extended Petri-Nets approach, are introduced to search for the improvements in the design that satisfies the constraints imposed on the system. A prototype testing system is constructed, which is followed by an example together with a description of the small automobile supply chain system implementation.
