Abstract:Five new 5,7-disubstituted-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetylimino)-2H-1,2,4-thiadiazolo[2,3-a]pyrmidines were synthesized, and their structures were confirmed by H-1 NMR and elemental analysis. Biological test showed that some of the target compounds displayed herbicidal activity to some extent. In order to investigate the relationship between the structure of these compounds and their herbicidal activities, a crystal structure of the target compound 5b was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.

Abstract:Five N-[3-methyl-2-(4-chlorophenyl)butyryl]-N'-(2-pyrimidinyl)thioureas (3) have been synthesized. Compounds 4 were obtained by oxidizing cyclization. of compounds 3 in the presence of bromine in chloroform. The structures of 3 and 4 were confirmed by 111, H-1 NMR and elemental analysis. The preliminary biological tests indicate that compound 3a has excellent herbicidal activity.

Abstract:Several new 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives containing a pyrazole ring were designed and synthesized from ethyl acetoacetate and triethyl orthoformate as starting materials via multi-step reactions. The compound structures were confirmed by melting point, 1 H NMR and HRMS. They were evaluated for fungicidal and herbicidal activities. Four of the compounds exhibited moderate fungicidal activity against Colletotrichum species. Most of the compounds had moderate-to-good activity as a herbicide.

Abstract:Eight new substituted-pyridine-3-formylimino-2H-1,2,4-thiadiazolo[2,3-a] derivatives containing substituted pyrimidine ring were synthesized in good yield under ultrasonic irradiation (USI). The structures of all newly synthesized compounds were elucidated and confirmed by IR, H-1 NMR and elemental analysis. The target compounds have been screened for activity against a number of monocotyledones and dicotyledones. The preliminary herbicidal tests show that some of the target compounds have better inhibitory activities against weeds.

Abstract:Five novel cis-3-(2-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropenyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropyl formyl thiourea derivatives(4a～4e) have been synthesized. Their structures are characterized by 1H NMR, IR and elemental analysis. The preliminary herbicidal tests indicate the compound 4a shows a better inhibitory activity to broad leaf plant, 4d and 4e to monoctyledon plant, respectively.

Abstract:In order to prepare isotope internal standards in quantitation of the residues of five novel herbicides,the methoxyl-deuterated forms of five ingredients were synthesized from(2H4) methanol in six steps via nucleophilic substitution,oxidation,condensation,and reduction reactions,respectively. The deuterium substituted compounds are isopropyl 4-( 2-chloro-6-( 4,6-di(2H3) methoxypyrimidin-2-yloxy) benzylamino) benzoate,propyl 4-( 2-chloro-6-( 4,6-di(2H3) methoxypyrimidin-2-yloxy) benzylamino) benzoate,5-bromo-N-( 2-chloro-6-( 4,6-di(2H3) methoxypyrimidin-2-yloxy) benzyl) pyridin-2-amine,4-bromo-N-( 2-chloro-6-( 4,6-di(2H3) methoxypyrimidin-2-yloxy) benzyl) aniline,and2,5-dichloro-N-( 2-chloro-6-( 4,6-di(2H3) methoxypyrimidin-2-yloxy) benzyl) aniline. Their structures were elucidated by NMR,MS,FTIR,and UV,and their chemical purities are all great than 98%,determined by HPLC. These deuterium substituted compounds could be used as isotope internal standards in quantitation of herbicide residue in agricultural products and its downstream foodstuff by HPLC-MS / MS.

Abstract:According to the pharmacophore binding strategy and principle of bioelectronic isobaric, used the sulfonylurea bridge as the parent structure, a series of novel thiourea compounds containing aromatic-substituted pyrimidines were designed and synthesized. The preliminary herbicidal activity tests showed that some compounds had good herbicidal activity against Digitaria adscendens, Amaranthus retroflexus, especially for compound 4d and 4f. The results showed that compound 4d had an inhibition rate of 81.5% on the root growth of Brassica napus L. at the concentration of 100 mg L−1, and compound 4f had an inhibition rate of 81% on the root growth of Digitaria adscendens at the concentration of 100 mg L−1. Compounds 4d and 4f had higher comparative activity on Echinochloa crus-galli than the commercial herbicide bensulfuron-methyl. The preliminary structure-activity relationship (SAR) was also summarized. We also tested the in vivo AHAS enzyme activity inhibition experiment of 14 compounds at 100 mg L−1, and the results showed that they all have inhibitory activity on the enzyme, with the highest inhibition rate reaching 44.4% (compound 4d). Based on the results of molecular docking to yeast acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS), the possible herbicidal activity mechanism of these compounds was evaluated.

And two dichlorochrysanthemoylimino-2H-1,2,4-thiadiazolo[2,3-a]pyrimidines were prepared by oxidizing cyclization of 5a, 5b. Abstract:Ten novel benzoyl ureas containing a 1,3,4-thiadiazole group were synthesized by the reaction of 2-amino-5-substituted phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole and 2,6-difluorobenzoyl isocyanate, and structurally confirmed by H-1 NMR, IR, ESI-MS techniques and elemental analysis. Preliminary bioassay test indicated that some compounds showed insecticidal activity. Compounds 3d (3,5-(CH3)(2)) and 3g (4-C4H9) exhibit good insecticidal activity against Aphis craccivora with higer than 90% mortality.

Abstract:In order to investigate the structure-activity relationship and improve the activity of herbicidal lead compound 2-sec-butylamino-5-(2-chloropyrid-4-yl)-1,3,4-thiodiazole (BCPT) which was found in previous work on pyridine derivatives, a novel series of N-(1-carbomethoxy)ethyl-N-[5-(2-chloropyrid-4-yl)-1,3,4-thiodiazol-2-yl] amides were synthesized and subjected to post-emergence herbicidal tests. All the compounds showed much weaker herbicidal activity than BCPT itself. The results suggested that BCPT might act to herbs in different way to amide herbicides.

Abstract:A series of S(−)-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-N-(5,7-disubstituted-2H-[1,2,4]-thiadiazolo[2,3-a]pyrimidin-2-ylidene)-3-methylbutanamide derivatives were designed and synthesized. The structures of all the newly synthesized compounds had been identified by elemental analysis, 1H NMR, MS and optical rotation. Their herbicidal activities were evaluated against a variety of weeds. The preliminary results showed that most of the target compounds had moderate inhibitory activities and selectivities against root and stalk of monocotyledon and dicotyledon plants. More importantly, the chiral target compounds showed improved herbicidal activities to some extent over their racemic counterparts against a variety of tested weeds, which might be contributed by the introduction of chiral active unit. The present work provided a novel class of chirality-based thiadiazolopyrimidine derivatives with potent herbicidal activities for further optimization.

The structures of all of the title compounds were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR, and HRMS. Their agricultural bioactivities were evaluated, and some of these compounds exhibited good herbicidal activities against Echinochloa crusgalli, Sorghum vulgare, Digitaria sanguinalis, Eclipta prostrasta, Cucumis sativus, and Brassica campestris, which were associated mainly with their steric properties and lipophilicities based on the structure-activity relationship discussion.

Abstract:To find new pesticidal lead compounds with high bioactivity, 18 acylthiouteas contain 1,3,4-thiadizols were obtained by condensation between acyl isothiocyanate and 1,3,4-thiadiazols. Their structures were confirmed by H-1 NMR and MS. The herbicidal activities of these compounds were evaluated. All the compounds have herbicidal activity at 200 g ai/ha. The bioassay results showed that compound 5b had 90% inhibitory effect against Echinochloa crusgalli, Setaira viridis, Digitaria sanguinalis, Amaranthus retroflexus and Eclipta prostrate at 200 g ai/ha in pre-emergence condition and 90% and 95% against Echinochloa crusgalli and Eclipta prostrate at 200 g ai/ha in post-emergence condition, respectively; and compound 5e had 100% inhibitory effect against Echinochloa crusgalli, Setaira viridis, Digitaria sanguinalis and Amaranthus retroflexus at 200 g ai/ha in post-emergence and post-emergence condition.

Abstract:Eight new 5,7-disubstituted-2-(5-aryl-2-furoylimino)-[1,2,4]-thiadiazolo[2,3-alpha] pyrimidine derivatives were synthesized under ultrasonic irradiation. All of them are new compounds and their structures were exactly confirmed by IR, H-1 NMR spectra and elemental analysis. Our method using the ultrasonic irradiation under the condition of phase transfer catalyst (PTC) has the advantages of short reaction time and good yield. The preliminary biological tests show that some of the target compounds have some inhibitory activities against weeds.

Abstract:In order to investigate the biological activity of novel thiourea compounds, some novel 1,2,3-thiadiazole derivatives containing 1,3,4-thiadiazole were synthesized under phase transfer catalyzed condition (PEG-600) by multi-step reactions. The chemical structures of all compounds were established by H-1 NMR, FTIR, MS, and elemental analysis, and some of these compounds were investigated for fungicidal activity and plant growth regulatory activity. Abstract:A facile approach for the synthesis of pyrimidine derivatives containing 1,2,4-triazole moiety via the reaction of substituted 2-phenoxypropane hydrazide with ethyl-N-(5-cyano-2-alkylthio-5-cyano-6-methylthiopyrimidin-4-yl) formimidate in refluxing 2-methoxyethanol is reported.
